My favorite (get quick) tool.
I have TON of Muilwakee tools but when comes to simple (get quick) tools this one is just awesome. Right size, right power, battery lasts...use it just like regular screwdriver but faster. Milwaukee quality tool for great price.

Excellent Price & Function!
An excellent power screwdriver for assembly work where high torque is not needed. I haven't stripped any screw threads yet. The battery lockout feature is nice especially if it's bumping around in a tool box. It feels good and the switch works good too. The battery indicator LEDs work good too. The adjustable angle on the end works good too. Watching it turn through the clear windows is a neat function too. It works better than the Ryobi screwdriver it replaced. The torque is good without having too much torque for lighter work. It looks nice and feels of really good quality. The battery life appears to be good as well. I would buy it again when needed. Excellent price!

Helpful tool for multiple projects!!
This should be in everyone’s tool box! The fact that the name “Skil” is synonymous with professional quality, it is an impressive tool for your box! It screws with such ease with the correct torque needed without over or under tightening! Saves second guessing that it’s tightly secure! Helps those who have arthritis too! ❤️

Good quality & price, good torque and compact.
HVAC Technician here. Wanted something compact, lighter than an impact drill, but still have a little power for light duty work removing panels, wiring on contactors, transformers etc. So far I like it, for the price and quality is pretty good. It also fits in places that a drill can’t. I can add the longer attachments & angle drill adapter for hard to reach areas. Just wish it had the buttons a bit lower, it gets in the way. Also would’ve liked for it to be a little faster, turns little slow, but has pretty good torque.

Husband-Approved (And I Scored Points)
I bought this for my husband, and let’s just say it was a win. He’s used it for a few small projects around the house already, and it’s quickly become one of his go-to tools. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and the rechargeable feature is super convenient. It has enough power for everyday household tasks without being bulky or intimidating (which I personally appreciate). As the wife who purchased it, I can confirm it earned me bonus points. Practical gift? Yes. Unexpectedly exciting? Also yes. If you’re looking for a solid, handy tool for small projects or quick fixes around the house, this is a great option.

Better and worse than the older version
I own several of the older Skil 4v screwdrivers, and absolutely love them. This model is an improvement in a lot of ways, but dropping the non-contact voltage detector is not one of them! That was the biggest reason I recommended these to everyone. Having that voltage detector built into the screwdriver was a bit win for safety since I never skipped checking (and double-checking) to see if the wires were live. With a separate unit at the very least you have to switch tools, but it's also likely you'll forget to grab it in the first place, leave it at the bottom of the ladder, etc. The new one does feel a lot more solid than the older model, and is comfortable to use. Basically, just a significant step up in fit & finish. USB C charging is a big win for me; I really only have a couple devices left that I regularly charge which use Micro B, and I'm very much looking forward to making that number zero. The pivoting mechanism is nice, though I doubt I'll bother with it very often (I would *much* rather have the non-contact voltage detector). The window so you can see the drive shaft is a nice (if somewhat gimmicky) touch. I think the biggest win for the new model is the ability to control the torque. The old one solved the torque issue by just not having enough power to do any damage, which honestly worked great. If you needed to break something loose you could just give it a quick manual turn, then engage the motor once it was free; in both the old model and the new one, if you don't engage the motor it locks so you can use them both as manual screwdrivers. The new model also provides 3 different torque settings, but honestly I'll most likely just leave it at the lowest level. I slightly prefer the ring trigger mechanism on the old model, mainly because it is in *exactly* the right spot for how I feel most comfortable holding the screwdriver, and the orientation of the screwdriver doesn't matter. With the buttons, the reverse button is in the perfect spot, but the forward button is a bit too far forward. I didn't appreciate how nice it was that the ring was just always in the same spot, regardless of direction or orientation of the screwdriver. That said, the buttons are in a pretty good spot, and the ring is really only slightly better in my opinion. I usually prefer the locking bit retention mechanisms like on the older model, but I think they actually did a pretty good job with the magnet in this one; it is strong enough that I'm not worried about the bit falling out, but it's still easy to remove bits when you want (looking at you, Makita bit holder!). Given the choice I'd still go with the locking mechanism, but thanks to the quality on this one I'm okay with it, and truthfully the magnet is probably is a better choice for most people. The old one also had better lighting, with two LEDs instead of one. This was nice because you always had at least one LED not eclipsed by the bit holder. I'd *love* to see an illumination ring like Skil has on their 12v impact driver... That said, the light does still work pretty well so this is a pretty minor win for the old version. In the end, I think I'll stick with the older model as long as I can; the safety improvement from the non-contact voltage detector is just not worth sacrificing for the few small non-safety improvements. If Skil puts out a version of this with a non-contact voltage detector instead of the pivoting mechanism, though, I'd definitely be all over that.

Using drills for screws is possible but not comfortable, so this serves the purpose. Especially when you are moving, collecting furniture or fixing small stuff around home.
