NS26L Lantern Softbox

I recently purchased the NEEWER 26"" Softbox with Quick Release Diffuser, and it has completely transformed my photography game! The softbox is incredibly easy to assemble, and the quick-release feature means I can set it up and take it down in seconds. The light diffusion is perfect—producing a soft, even glow that gives my portraits that professional touch I’ve been striving for. The build quality is excellent, and it's surprisingly lightweight, making it a breeze to transport for location shoots. I love the versatility it offers; whether I'm shooting indoors or outdoors, it elevates my lighting setup instantly. My favorite softbox. It closes up easily, diffuses the light evenly and works great. I use it in both real estate photography and as my fill light in boudoir photography.

This is my first lantern style light modifier and wasn't sure what to expect. It was a little hard to tell exactly how it actually opens and stays open, but once you see it in person it's amazingly easy. You basically just place it vertically with the bottom part on the ground, stand over it and push down on the speedring part. As you look inside when it starts to open, you'll see the "latch" style hook on the bottom and you just need to slip the other bar part (that's attached to the speedring assembly) underneath it. Reverse that to close it down again, but get ready for the whoosh of air that comes out the top and hits you in your face unexpectedly! The entire thing seems well made, but there are some elastic loops that go over the speedring knobs that slipped off while I was setting it up. Just keep a look out for those and slip them back over the knobs. It comes with a skirt you can velcro to the lantern to help flag off any stray light you don't want. I like that it came with the lantern and that I didn't have to buy it extra. It also comes with a carrying case with a strap and the bowens speedring. It is quite large (35" version) and puts out a nice quality of soft light. I purchased this for use in lighting groups of people sitting around a table, to help fill in some ambient background, and also as a general soft lighting modifier to try out for other things where I don't want the directness of a softbox or parabolic. Looking forward to playing around with it more and seeing what I can do with it. I would recommend at least a 200+ watt led light to use with this as a key light, due to how large it is. You may get away with smaller wattage lights, depending on how close to your subjects you want to put it and how bright you need things to get. If you just need to add a little ambient light to the room, you could probably get away with a smaller wattage light also.

Quality is good. Kinda a lot to move around but overall does its job

Ships in its own carrying bag and ready to use. All you do is push down to lock it in place, and push back down again to store it. Easily attaches to any light with a standard bowens mount. Should’ve bought two.

I used it in combination with an off camera flash. It lights subjects beautifully

Budget option but still nice build

I needed something that was QUICK and EASY on my shoots, usually talking head run-and-gun setups. This softbox is just that. I don't have time to worry about unpacking, putting in a dozen rods before even getting my lighting dialed in. This lantern allows me to unpack, pop it open, place it over my light and I'm ready to start dialing in my strength. The light is soft, even and flattering for any subject. The diffusion is just right for my needs and the time and ease of setup makes my shoots more efficient.

Excelente iluminación para productos

Lo compre con dudas de lo que podría hacer con él. Pero después de hacer pruebas en varios escenarios, definitivamente me convenció. Para grabar videos, para retratos y hasta fotografía gastronomica. Su luz es muy envolvente tanto con flash como luz continua. Facilisimo de armar y guardar. Liviano y su construcción es muy rubusta. Lo recomiendo 100%

Funciona muy bien, pero si optas por la medida de 90cm te recomiendo que tu foco sea de al menos 200w

I'm quite happy with this lantern softbox. The setup and teardown couldn't be easier, which is great for me as I'm constantly setting it up and packing it away since it's relatively large, and I have a small studio where I can't have it permanently set up. The light it gives off is nice and soft, with good falloff.
