1" Brass Electric Solenoid Valve 12V DC G Thread Normally Closed VITON from U.S. SOLID

Great valve, used on my draco drum filter for my koi pond, less than half price than from the manufacturer so thought I would give it a go and it works perfectly. The 2 wires aren't the longest, only just reached.

The valve is quite big, I needed some fitting as there was not enough space to screw on the tap om the wall However it works great. It quick enough to let the whole pressure out in a second. I use it to sprinkle the cats away to foul somewhere else :)

Runs Very hot (80C) but was assured this device will get very hot, it's the nature of the device I am assured. However, I wasn't too happy about it so contacted the seller and asked if it was ok to mount an heatsink on the top and that I did see photo. Now, it's just warm after five and a half hours running continuously - I am confident its reached its peak temperature by now and is only warm. Before, I couldn't bear your my fingers on it for more than seconds! Its recommended you don't have it actuated for more than eight hours continuously. For my purposes I only need it to run for six continuously. Update: August 10th and the heatwave continues. The valve is still going strong and runing now seven hours a night. The valve temperature is no more than warm evan in an ambient temperature of 24C.

Have been running some brass versions for almost 4y no failures so far. Glad to find the stainless version.

I followed the instructions and it works perfectly straight out of the box.

Used this for emptying the waste water tank in my Motorhome but the second time I used it, it stuck open and would not close

Looks good, seems to function well, only time will tell.

This is a very good product. I tried to use this for an RODI setup for continuous use and it gets very hot. The manufacturer says that it is not designed for continuous use and gets very hot, my fault for not reading. But I did end up testing it on some other stuff anyway and it works great. Also the company makes a motorized ball valve made for continuous use, since the solenoid was very good for what it was designed to do I’m sure that the motorized ball valve will be just as high quality. A+

Impeccable ; c'est la deuxième vanne de ce type que j'achète. La première a déjà passé 3 hivers à l'extérieur (à l'abri de la pluie et circuit vidé de l'eau) ; elle redémarre à chaque printemps. J'en suis très satisfait pour le remplissage automatique de mes mares.
