This solenoid valve is not to be used continuously for more than 8 hours. It can result in the valve overheating. Size: 1" Flow Aperture: 25 mm Flow capacity: 12 gallons per minute (GPM) of water at 60oF with a pressure drop of 1 PSI Flow value: 12 Cv Operational pressure range: 0 to 101 PSI / 0-0.7 Mpa (for Air, Water); 0 to 72 PSI / 0-0.5 Mpa (for Oil) Warning: Lead content ~ 2.82%. If not, particles will cling to the gasket over time, which can cause it to not seal properly. THREADING U.S. Solid Valves follow British Standard Pipe Thread(BSPT). We recommend use of Teflon tape to ensure seal of the threading, as shown in Figure 2. It is suitable to liquids, gases and even for high vacuum. POLARITY For valves with 2 wires, the valve will actuate regardless of which terminal each wire is connected to (+ or -). PRESSURE All solenoid valves need some pressure to actuate. This is especially true of pilot, or indirectly operated valves. OVERHEATING WARNING Not designed for continuous operation(not a 100% duty cycle). While energized, under normal operating conditions, solenoid valve will get HOT. The coil will reach a maximum temperature of about 80℃. It is fully complied with national standard: JB/T7352-2010. If energized continuously for more than 8h the coil may burn. I use it to sprinkle the cats away to foul somewhere else :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It does what it says. *by B***A on 2 May 2020* Runs Very hot (80C) but was assured this device will get very hot, it's the nature of the device I am assured. However, I wasn't too happy about it so contacted the seller and asked if it was ok to mount an heatsink on the top and that I did see photo. Now, it's just warm after five and a half hours running continuously - I am confident its reached its peak temperature by now and is only warm. Before, I couldn't bear your my fingers on it for more than seconds! Its recommended you don't have it actuated for more than eight hours continuously. For my purposes I only need it to run for six continuously. Update: August 10th and the heatwave continues. The valve is still going strong and runing now seven hours a night.
