For the price that it is worth, this is alot better than majority LED lanterns on the market. Compared to its competitor item, this light is better for tables due to its hexagonal shape making it unable to roll off suddenly. The back face if this portable lantern is also magnetic and makes it perfect for car emergencies. Overall, this is an extremely useful lamp and is is a great buy in my opinion. The only downside to this lantern that its competitor offers is the lack of color. The instruction book lists the battery rating at 2200mah. A large difference as for the lighting period. As a test, I charged the battery. I turned on the light at the lowest setting (2%) and left it on. The light turned off at about 48 hours. Per the product description, I expected around 120 hours. I am charging the battery again to perform a second test. However, since it not clear as to the actual capacity of the battery (perhaps a misprint on the instructions?), I will report the results of the second test. On the plus side, it is well constructed and the light output at all settings is quite good. But I purchased this light specifically because of its' large capacity and potential usefulness during emergencies. The significantly shorter lifespan is not acceptable. There is a very similar competing product (which I also own and tested) that has a lower capacity battery (1800mah) but is staying lit for a longer period of time.UPDATE:Performed a second test. Same result. Lamp shut down at 46 hours. Returning to Amazon. Disappointing since it is otherwise a nice lamp. C'est la vie.The competing product, a bit less expensive and with a smaller battery, is still lit up at 52 hours.
