Great little heater at a good price
I have other space heaters, but I was looking for something a little more energy efficient. I haven't received my latest power bill, but the features on this heater leave me hopeful. This little heater has a lot of nice features which include a remote controller, oscillating operation, three fan settings, automatic ambient temperature read-out, remote temperature adjustment, timer feature, and an eco mode for power saving. I was surprised how quickly it cut the chill in my 360 sq. ft. living room. In a 6" x 18" package, it's a little power house.

Trusted Brand, Great Heater for RVs
We are dedicated fans of the Lasko brand. We’ve had other heaters of varied brand names and we always come back to Lasko. The others don’t last or worse, catch fire! This is our 5th Lasko in 10 years. We live and travel in an RV. Anyone that has an rv knows propane costs are unpredictable when traveling. We’ve stayed in some towns where it was $120 for 60gallons and other towns where it was $34 for 60 gallons. The propane heat is too much for us used alone. And the furnace noise is intrusive. We like cooler temps, especially at night. My sinuses and overall health suffered with the propane heat. So we supplement. We set the propane furnace to 58 and the space heater at 64/65 during the day and 60/62 at night. 62-64 is the temp our body’s seek long sleeves and pants, possibly a hoodie or jacket. Same with at night while sleeping with an extra blanket. We position the Lasko heater in the vicinity of the kitchen and bath plumbing which is also near the social areas. Our bedroom is furthest away from the heater. If we need extra heat in the bedroom, we have a temperature controlled blanket to assist. This helps the livable part of the plumbing areas stay above freezing in winter. Our propane furnace heats the underneath of the rv keeping lower plumbing components above freezing temps as well. If it’s too cold for the space heater to maintain set temp, the furnace kicks on. They work very well together. Other heater brands have overheated, caught fire or quit working within 3-6 months. We had our last Lasko for 3 years! Now my in-laws have it down south. If it’s still good enough for them to use, why get a new one? Our Lasko heater works in tandem with the rv furnace and provides combined comfortable heat on our journey. The in-laws use it maybe 3 times per year when socializing in their enclosed garage area. So ours is used regularly. But I felt safe giving the 3yr old one to them. They have had it for 2 years and they love it. So 5 years and going strong. I love the safety features. We don’t use the child lock often, only when I need to keep my husbands hands off the thermostat. He’s not tech literate so he never figured it out and the heater remained locked. I imagine a child could figure it out though as they are smart little humans. The automatic shut off when knocked over is spot on. Space is narrow in an rv. One has to be careful moving around inside, especially with more than one person. We have knocked this one over a few times already and it shuts right off! Settings stay in place after the unit has been turned off. The only time the settings need readjusted is if it is unplugged. The memory seems to clear when unplugged. Eco mode is our preferred setting. Low fan speed is also selected. The heater comes on and off automatically unless we change the settings. We DO unplug the heater when we are away from the rv for long periods of time, allowing the on board RV furnace to do its thing alone until we return. It takes less than 5 minutes for this heater to warm up our rv. We use the timer so we can go to sleep with ease and know the heater will turn off on its own by the time we are in a deep sleep. There is a slight odor out of the box when used for the first few times. The heater needs to operate a few times before the odor isn’t detectable. The sound is low enough to not annoy us and still hear the rv or conversation between us without having to yell. This model we like because of the wider span of ocillation. Past heaters didn’t turn enough to the left and right minimizing the heated area. This one turns left to right 120 degrees. And it moves well without manual help like one four star reviewer posted. Another feature we like about this model vs past models is the remote storage on the back of the heater. Two models ago had a tray on top for the remote which got too warm and caused the remote batteries to leak. The model after that had a little hook on the back of the remote and hung on a small pocket in the back. The remote always fell off and wouldn’t store neatly with the heater when not in use. This model’s remote storage is snug and flush with the back of the heater. We also like how ALL of the heater’s features are on the remote with this model instead of just the basic operations. We are done trying other brands and sticking with Lasko. Important Note: Do Not use with an extension cord! We tried with a 14guage and a 12guage. Both cords were very warm near the plug and a few feet of cord afterwards. This heater pulls a lot of current. Always plug the heater into an approved wall socket. Speaking of wall sockets, if in an RV, this will pull a lot of current through your 30amp or 50amp service. Do the math accordingly so you don’t wake up with a thawed fridge or worse, a burnt shore power cord, panel or converter. For households, if you don’t want your breakers to trip, give the heater its own outlet on its own breaker. Do not combine multiple appliances on one outlet or merge multiple appliances on one circuit. Peace of mind and safety for all are in jeopardy when not thinking carefully of where and how this heater is plugged in.

great value and works well
this little guy is a hard worker! straight out of the box and he has been running constantly over the past week due to the cold. the thermostat allows you to set the temperature you want, there is an oscillation feature, and the remote has a handy storage spot right on the back of the heater. note that the remote requires 2 AAA batteries and those are not included. he is shorter than I expected, maybe about 18 inches high, but he is doing a great job keeping a basement area warm. I'm not sure why I'm referring to a heater as "he", lol. oh well. he's been a great and hard working addition to a cold area of our home. definitely worth the money!

Keeping my office warm
I have been using this 24 inch heater for two days now. I like the fact that the heater is lightweight and has manual controls on it. The heater is slim which is nice. The air intake on the back will be easy to clean with a vacuum. The base seems a bit cheap and like it may not hold up well. If the base fails, can I get a new one from Lasko? Not sure. As some folks have mentioned, there seem to be TOO many options for the controls on this heater. Pressing the remote buttons may not result in your desired outcome! I have no idea what I did to set it this morning but so far so good it is keeping my office warm! I bought this Ellipse to replace a 20 year old Lasko heater that the manual controls are barely working on and the remote is completely dead. A similar model is still being sold by Lasko. The issue I have with this heater is that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to vacuum out the dust that accumulates on the air intake screen. I tried to take the heater apart to do that but taking it apart but you still can't clean the screen. A dirty screen results in the the heater going over temp and shutting down. It appears that Lasko is trying to address this issue with several of their newer heaters that have covers which can be removed from the air intake screen such that you can vacuum out the dust. I gave 4 stars but should really be 4.5 stars. I do not like the way they set up the base and the fact that I had to install it. Update 10/20/25: After purchasing a new unit, I purchased another returned unit from AMZN resale. The second unit was listed as MINT condition. Upon arrival, it was clear that NO one from AMZN even opened the box to check the condition, they just shipped it to me. The base plate was damaged, it was dirty, all the protective materials were missing as was the instructions which means this was NOT MINT condition. I would say it was USED GOOD condition at best. I was able to get the damaged base plate to work, so plan on keeping this second unit.

Excellent product
Perfect for hitting my camper about 250 ft.². Product is stable, quiet, accurate temperature control, looks stylish. I like the remote control and the turn off if it gets tipped makes me feel safer using the product.

We are very happy with this Lasko ceramic heater
This little heater is awesome. It puts out a lot of heat & warms small room in a hurry. Remote is easy to use & we like the temperature by degrees feature best because we can lower it to about 60 if we’re going to be gone that way the room is not ice cold when we return but yet it’s not running constantly. Where we live it does not get horribly cold as it does up north. I have not noticed any smell, it oscillates great if you like that feature. I think that it is worth the money although I agree it’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.
