(Sorry for the unintended pun...) We put them onto the fire in the sitting room at a neighbourhood gathering we went to for 12th night, and immediately they drew guests over to watch. Everyone was very impressed and some just wanted to stay by the fire and keep watching it, as the colours and which part of the flames they affected changed. They definitely added an extra dimension to a normal log fire! We had seen similar used in a log-burning stove, and there too they were very pretty, but on an open fire they were a bit more magical. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Pretty cool *by M***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 17 March 2013* I bought these to share with a friend, only 39 in the box so couldn't do an exact 50/50 split and some of them were heavily coated in the copper sulphate and some were barely coated at all. But the ones that were heavily coated do create a pretty looking flame but doesn't last 30minutes, more like 15.
