I honestly can’t say enough good things about Head & Shoulders Anti-Dandruff Bare shampoo. From the first wash, I could tell it was different. My scalp felt clean and balanced, not stripped or dry, and the flakes I used to deal with just aren’t an issue anymore.What I love most is how my hair feels afterward. It’s soft, light, and healthy without feeling weighed down. Some anti-dandruff shampoos can leave hair a little rough, but this one makes my hair feel smooth and fresh every time. I find myself running my fingers through it because it just feels that good.And the scent is another big win for me. I also noticed my hair didn’t feel as brittle afterward compared to some other dandruff shampoos.It lathers well and rinses clean without leaving any residue, which is always a plus.The only small downside is that if you’re used to heavily scented shampoos, this one is more mild and subtle — but I personally liked that.Overall, a great option if you need dandruff control but want something that feels a little more gentle for everyday use.

This helps tremendously with my psoriasis and fungal acne. My dermatologist suggested I rub it on my face while I wash my hair and it’s worked wonders. My skin has cleared up and my scalp isn’t as itchy or flaky. Love that it’s fragrance free for my sensitive skin.

I don't know if this would work on green or blue direct/semi-permanent dyes, but this worked perfectly to remove purple, red, and pink semi-permanent (IroIro and Keracolor) dye from my hair. It contains citric acid in addition to the other ingredients which is why I think it works so well. Plus, it doesn't smell like traditional H&S shampoos which was actually a nice surprise. I left it on for 10 minutes in the shower and used super hot water to rinse, and after 3 washes, the purple, red, and pink colors were faded 90%. Enough for me to apply a new permanent color and not have it look weird.

I've only recently started developing dandruff, and my sister in law recommended this specific H & S's formula. Thus far I'm impressed! Because I live in a place that has hard water, I alternate between this and infrequent use of a hard-water shampoo. This 'poo does a good job cleaning up your scalp, and doesn't give you that over-stripped squeaky-type clean. Which in my book is good! My hair type is fine, but very dense; I get oily roots easily and dry ends. This seems to be a good answer for adequate cleansing without drying out the rest of the hair shaft.And no flakies!Bonus: If you're a sensory-oriented gal like me, you'll appreciate the odd squishiness of the packaging, lol. It's a lot thinner plastic, and pretty satisfying. xD

I've been using this Head and Shoulders (H&S) shampoo for about a month and it has helped reduce my mild-moderate dandruff. However it has not completely eliminated it. I wish there was an accompanying H&S Bare conditioner with the same minimal ingredient list. The H&S company does not recommend applying conditioner to the scalp that does not contain the active ingredient zinc pyrithione (ZP). This is because non-ZP conditioners will wash away the active ingredient and reduce the overall effectiveness of dandruff reduction. In my experience, if you just use the shampoo, it will dry your hair out and leave it frizzy. I have thick wavy/curly hair that is about 6", conditioning is a must to prevent dry, brittle, and frizzy hair. Given the length of my hair, getting conditioner on my scalp is unavoidable. Although H&S does have sulfate free conditioners, they contain synthetic ingredients and alcohol. So there is no complete synthetic-free option solely from H&S. They need to release a conditioner under the Bare product line. A true catch-22 if you're looking for anti-dandruff, conditioning, and minimal ingredients.I do still appreciate this shampoo for being sulfate free with minimal ingredients. The scent is pleasant and it does reduce dandruff. The reduced plastic Ecobottle is a cool feature that makes it easy to get all of the shampoo out of the bottle. The price per bottle is also very reasonable. Slightly pricier than regular H&S, but much cheaper than comparable PZ based minimal ingredient shampoos from those niche haircare brands. I'd recommend this to some people. Those who have short hair that doesn't need conditioner, doesn't want to spend a lot, and cares about minimal ingredients.Unfortunately for the reasons above, I do not think I will be purchasing this again once I run out. I just started using anti-dandruff haircare, so I want to see if other active ingredients like Ketoconazole and Coal Tar can completely eliminate my dandruff. There are sulfate free minimal ingredient shampoos and conditioners that contain these actives so I will try those next.

Love this! I bought it because one of my kids used it and said it was really helping their dry scalp,and liked that it was super gentle on dyed hair(they dye it all diff colors ). I don't have dandruff, but had an extremely bad itchy scalp esp near the base of my neck (the dermatologist I saw had given me a topical solution to use but it did absolutely nothing). This worked amazingly well ,and in not even a month I feel I'd say 80% better already! I also don't wash my hair every day,maybe 3x a week?at most . Get this!! 😊
