Def one of our favorite books to read from infancy and still now and they’re are 8 and 10 years old!

Makes a Mamma tear up…so sweet. I’ve bought it several times for baby shower gifts.

This is my favorite children's book. I was gifted it when my oldest child was about a week old. When she was about 5 it became part of our bedtime ritual and I recited it to my kids every night for about 3 years. I can still quote it word for word. The story takes us through the motions of a seemingly ordinary day for the moma bear and her baby: a morning at home, a trip to the park, playing together, a snack after falling down, a swim, going home for bath, dinner and bedtime. The sequence of the day and the repetitive structure made it easy to remember and the love between moma and baby is clear. When reading or reciting my favorite line, "I am your dandelion. You are my first wish." I would squeeze my daughter tight each time. One day she asked me if she really was my first wish and I told her that she was. Last Christmas I bought us a mother/daughter dandelion necklace set which we both wear every day.

5 stars for the book, 0 for Amazon delivery! I had this book since my son was two, he is 7 now. I bought two copies as gifts to the expecting parents. The book is absolutely amazing! I've read it to my son and then to my daughter over and over and over again. Even now i have tears in my eyes, it is so touching. However, the price that I've paid on the Amazon doesn't matter because delivery is where they absolutely failed! Waiting 3 weeks for couple of books to be shipped that are in stock at the time of the order and checking the order status where it says not yet shipped is ridiculous! I should have gone to the book store and paid the full price for the book and already had it and wrapped it. I feel that whoever is deciding on when the merchandise should be shipped never tried to shop and wait for the purchase 3 weeks. It is unacceptable and shows poor customer service. This is the first time when i am so disappointed with Amazon. So, buy the book at the book store, you'll enjoy it sooner, that is my recommendation.
