GOOD & BAD
The GOOD: Works great for Gnats. Gnats are tiny and and tiny bugs gets caught. Really works great for tiny bugs. The BAD: Does not work for bugs larger then Gnats. It seems the glue is not strong enough to hold a fly. In total only two flies out of many got caught. I purchased a total of 7 on different dates. For flies there are much better traps you can purchase on Amazon.

It Actually Works...
Well it doesn't get rid of the fly that is buzzing around your head... But overnight it catches flies! I used this last summer and with warm weather coming in April, I've pulled out my units to use again this summer. So I'm impressed with Vevo. And thankfully we don't get lots of flies, but then there are days when there are too many, especially on very hot days. I guess flies like air-conditioning! Lol! ***Just remember that the Vevo trap works best overnight and only when the room is dark, so the light can lure the fly into the trap... And then the pesky thing won't bother you anymore! At 1st I didn't think it was working, but then I checked each trap and it had snared it's prey, so to say. About a week and a half later, I checked them again and here were my findings. - Unit 1 is by our partly glass back door and it caught 2 flies. It's plugged in under our bay window and is about 10 feet from a lamp that stays on all night. ***Vevo says light will possibly deter flies from the catcher. You see, the trap uses an ultra violet light with a cover (for human and pet eye safety), so if you have other light sources then the fly may go to those lights. - Unit 2 is in the kitchen, on an upper plug above an unused counter, that is almost in a corner and is not far from our covered kitchen trash can. This unit had 6 flies! So the darker area and the location being nearer to the trashcan (fly restaurant), lured more flies to it, thus removing the pests from buzzing around me and my family. ***This is way better than fly tape that is nasty and looks disgusting. Plus I don't have to touch the sticky area or the flies in order to dispose of them. That said, I'm waiting until more flies come to their demise before tossing the liner. Unfortunately, the liners are expensive! Admittedly they are on a frame with a holder, which is what makes this sanitary and less icky. So to me, it's worth the price. Plus there are some generic brand refill cartridges available on Amazon if you want to pay a lower price... (Just be careful of which refill you choose and of what shop. Amazon is full of poor quality items, but there are gems among the rubble.) Now these are not decorative, but they are not bad looking either. The soft light they cast onto the wall is kinda nice. Plus I only use these in the summer and they are small enough to put away during the winter, making them cost effective. So what is my verdict? 2 Vevo units, including some refill cartridges and the occasional use of a fly swatter is all I need during the summer to get rid of annoying flies. *** So I highly recommend this product! It gets rid of flies while I sleep, so there are less or all gone the next day. That said, when the back door opens to let our pups in and out, all day long... more flies arrive, so I'm glad Vevo makes such a good product that is simple to use and reliable. So if you have flies buzzing around you and your family, then this product will get rid of them while everyone is sleeping. And clean up is simple and sanitary. Try it! You will enjoy summer better!

WOW!!!
My husband and I just moved into a very old apartment building over this winter, and as it’s warmed up into spring we’ve realized we have a bad gnat problem here as not everything is sealed as well as it could be. While this doesn’t treat the root problem of course, these trap plug-ins have been game changing as far as managing the flies. Just a few days ago we had them flying in our faces every time we ate, a single dirty dish laying in the sink would attract a hoard and they would swarm around the trash cans. Three days after plugging in the two units we got to start with, we have hardly noticed any at all. This picture shows one of the traps which was placed in the worst problem area after just three days. I was shocked at how well just a little blue light works. I was skeptical at first seeing these online, but they work remarkably well and setting them up took less than a minute. We may end up purchasing another pair for maximum efficiency but so far even just the two we have have worked wonders. If you’re skeptical like I was, do yourself a favor and just hit add to cart.

Works to catch bugs but studies show that blue led lights are DANGEROUS at night!
Yes it does trap bugs as you can see. Give it some time (this is like 5 months worth of bugs), you wont catch these in 1 day. It takes patience. Leave it up for a few weeks etc. The only issue is that I am very health conscious these days and even bought red glasses to use at night (to block out LED and blue lights) as it affects your circadian rhythm and this bug lamp has a VERY STRONG blue light. Blue light at night has been shown to suppresses melatonin, make it hard to fall asleep and can shift your natural sleep phase later. Using blue light at night can actually impair glucose regulation and and increase your risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular risk. I am trying to minimize my blue light exposure at night (I even bought red night glasses to block all blue light) so I won't be using this for now unless I start getting massive bug bites again and if I do I will ALWAYS unplug it at night. Blue light at night can literally increase your risk for diseases (this includes light from devices etc). And as this light is designed to attract bugs, its very powerful and VERY blue. If you have to use it, unplug it like 3 hrs before you sleep.

It will catch some, but majority will be flying around it. Waste of money.

I've been using this product for 2 weeks now and it's a waste of money and electricity. Kitchen area is full of fruit fly and the device was only able to catch 2 flys! From my side it's not recommended and electric zapper was the most helpful device ever used.
