I've always bought SMALLRIG, this Dual Ball Heads Magic Arm with 1/4"-20 Screw and NATO Clamp is fantastic, it opens up so many filming angles, the quality of smallrig has always be great and have never let me down, once locked into place it never moves. Many thanks.

I absolutely love SmallRig products; they are my go-to for camera accessories as they are always made to such a high standard and brilliant design at mind; this product is no different. There are a couple of key features on this product which I think are great: 1) Hidden magnetic wrench: This is tactically hidden under the main adjustment lever so it remains out of the way, though they haven't made it fiddly or hard to get out; this is used to help tighten the 1/4" thread. 2) The thumb levers have a spring inside that allows you to pull it out and reposition without tightening/untightening it; this is handy in a variety of situations. 3) The anti-twist prongs actually retract when pushed in, this means that you can use accessories that don't feature anti-twist holes. Once tightened into position, good luck trying to forcefully move any of the joints, this magic arm is super secure!

This is a review of the SMALLRIG Dual Ball Heads Magic Arm. It comes a small cardboard box with arm in bubble wrap. It’s fitted with a 1/4" standard size screw at one end with a NATO Clamp at the other with a quoted maximum load of 6kg and is made of aluminium alloy and stainless steel but also offers the warning that although the diameter of the ball head is 20mm it will NOT fit other brand’s clamps. It works with NATO rail quite well so a plus there. The ball heads are an interesting design as they employ rubber rings - two spares are supplied, see photos - for use, or when, when/if those fitted wear out. A nice little touch is the ‘pull out’ small ring bolt in the main securing knob for tightening the screw up on the mounting plate - see photos. This is well engineered arm that is well thought out that and handy to have in your cameral bag but due to its design it can be either flat or in a 'ball' to fit in said bag in whatever space is available.

Flexibility when holding something like a camera is very important because not all angle looks the same therefore it is necessary to adjust the angles many time for better result. this device was very helpful for my needs because it can be put on the top of my tripod to give me the necessary flexibility I need. I was very impressed with the quality of the product and also equally impress with our strong it is and how capable it is. If you are a traveller you should not be afraid of getting this device as well because it is super lightweight, perfect to be carried around forever.

It is easy to use, excellent quality and well-built Dual Ball Heads Magic Arm. Once tightened it doesn't go anywhere. One side has a 1/4" screw and another side has NATO Clamp. I use it as a monitor mount on my handheld rig. This does the job well, even with a large heavy battery on the monitor. Recommend it.

Was impressed a lot by the quality of this magic arm! Its super well machined! Everything is smooth and easy to adjust! Also its pretty strong for its size! I attached 5 inch field monitor and it holds it perfectly! Great value!

I tested all the major NATO monitor clamp methods and the Smallrig NATO Magic Arm is by far the winner. Here's why: I tested the Smallrig NATO arm 3875... the NITZE field monitor holder N54-H2... the Newer filed monitor holder MA005... and the Smallrig Monitor Clamp 2906B. I did it using the HARDEST thing for a monitor clamp to do: Hold a LARGE caged monitor horizontally, while being adjusted by friction. Final conclusion: 3 of them can hold and adjust the monitor... but the Nato Arm 3875 is the ONLY one that can adjust to level the monitor to align with the horizon and hold its position. This arm also has a MAJOR advantage in that the NATO clamp is opened and tightened by a rotating lever. - All NATO rails are NOT the same width. Some are slightly wider and can then cause you to spend 15 minutes opening and adjusting the clamp to fit them. This defeats the entire purpose of quick clamps. This arm however fits ALL NATO RAILS immediately without tools. This arm is STRONG. - Unlike most of the others it seems like you could hold 2 monitors and have strength to spare, which is GLORIOUS. Second place is the NITZE... which is incredibly strong... BUT cannot adjust the horizon line. This is the best for "centered above camera" monitors if you're not going to use an "arm". SECRET TIP: The tension adjustment socket is hidden in these clamps below the 1/4" screw. You need to bend them 100% forward or backward to expose the tension screw and tighten it. The ONLY one that DOESN'T have a tension screw for tightening the horizontal twist is the NEWER. This is a permanent and obvious disadvantage.

El artículo cumple perfectamente con su función. Una vez que lo has apretado bien apenas se mueve. Lo utilizo para sugetar un monitor de 5.5 pulgadas encima de la cámara y no he tenido ningún problema. El único pero, el precio. Considero que está algo elevado para lo que és.
