If you place something inside, it takes many hours to cool back down to the correct temperature. Portability is nice, but that doesn’t matter if it won’t keep stuff frozen.

Not inexpensive but comparably priced
This portable deep freezer from IVYX can reach and hold the necessary temperature for lab sample storage. The unit is relatively quiet for the function that it accomplishes. The listing shows that this is 110V only but in looking at the documentation it shows both 110V and 220V support. I only need this for 110V, but it may have support for both voltages. There is also support for 12V or 24V DC connection. It is not lightweight, but the unit is lightweight for what it does and compared to other such freezers in this space.
