Both the lavender and rose have a faint smell, it's not too strong for the animal. But does cover the mild smell a hammie has, and also masks when the girls go into heat. The flowers are also a salad for the babies; so Bertie and Rosina approve. Compared to other beddings it has far less dust and miscellaneous bits, so I can put it straight into the cage without inspecting each piece. It also adds a nice pop of colour without overdoing it. It's compress so make sure to fluff it up with your hands, and it will double in size. As it's half white; soiled sections are easy to spot and remove.
