We decanted some of the product into 2 pots over a paint tray as the can isn't great for pouring from, it does spill. We erected the tent in our garden and put down plastic sheets to protect the patio from spillage, and then using 2 inch paint brushes we painted the Fabsil onto the tent. It is a thin liquid and does drip but we held our pots close to the tent and then painted really quickly from the top of each side of the tent to the bottom, starting at the front and working backwards. As we finished painting each section (between any seams) we rubbed it with a clean cloth, which spread the product more evenly than painting had. We had the perfect day for painting, dry with a breeze, we started about 11:30am and finished the first coat by 2:30pm, we took a break and then started doing the 2nd coat as the front of the tent was dry by then. we finished about 5:30/6pm. Our tent is a 4 man tent with a living area that you can stand up in and a bedroom area for 4 (we use it for 2 though). we had been camping on 21st-23rd July and the tent material had been soaked by the misty rain and we had little puddles inside the tent. We ordered this product and used it on 26th July. We then went camping from 31st July to 4th August and had some serious downpours several times during the week but as you can see from the photos the tent was definitely waterproofed, no water soaked into the material, it remained as drops of water which then ran down in little rivulets. Our tent was bought in 2009 and it's the first time we've waterproofed it which was probably well overdue. As the product had gone on really well, I decided to also paint the product on a long length raincoat and 2 pairs of waterproof trousers, all of which were quite old and no longer waterproof. Is ok but still looking for perfect waterproofer. **Q: Does all the volumes come with a spray applicator?** A: I'm not sure what you are actually asking. If it's for a car soft top I would say get the 1.5 litre size, I'll explain in a bit. First thing is that you don't want a spray can, it will be dearer and is a pain to get it only on the roof and not all over the car. The liquid has the consistency of water, and smells a little bit. A sort of spirity smell, not bad but it will go after a couple of hours. 1) Clean the top, get a squirty bottle of cleaner, loads on Amazon, and a hard brush and go for it, unless the top is frayed and really had it you won't hurt it. You won't believe the muck you'll get off the roof, give it a good rinse and let it dry, over night if possible. When you put the Fabsil on make sure it's a nice day but not bright sunlight. The reason for that is because it's spirit based the sun will make it evaporate before it all soaks in, so NOT in bright sunlight. One of those warm murky days. But you will need to let it soak in for most of a day before it rains on it. 2) First thing is don't mess about with painting it on the roof. Get a 2 or 3 inch brush, a nice soft one, pour some Fabsil in a pot of some sort make sure you have a rag for when you splash it on the paintwork (it won't hurt it at all, it's like the stuff builders inject into damp courses, won't hurt your hands or anything). Paint it on like you mean it. I absolutely drench the roof, so it looks like a downpour has just been on your car. You won't get brushmarks the roof will just look soaking wet, which I guess it is! In about an hour it will be dry and your top should look amazing, especially if you cleaned it well. I try and put a second coat on the next day, you don't need to clean it again, and it should be set for the year. It's SO easy to do, it's not like a paint-forget all that it's like painting water on, and as I said any smell will soon go. If we have one of those short sharp showers all the water beads up on it, it's as good a stuff for your roof as you would want. It's so easy that I don't see how anyone could have ANY problem doing this. Enjoy doing, I do! **Q: does anyone know how much I would need for a 3mx3m gazeebo please** A: Depends on how deteriorated your gazebo is. This stuff cured perfectly a leaking car soft-top but I used quarter of a 5 litre can. It might of worked with less but I just slapped it on. Thing is that it builds up so you can try the smaller size I suppose and top it up if it still leaks. You will get there in the end. Good stuff though. **Q: What sort of thinners do you recommend for cleaning the brush out afterwards?** A: White spirit will remove it as will washing up liquid.
