So far so good. Recommended buy.
I purchased this product to replace my Orbit 62056 unit that controls my drip irrigation system and so far it has performed excellently. I configured the hub device to connect to the WiFi and verified that the weather station was set to the local station and it performs properly with about a 95% accuracy which means the rain delay can be trusted. There have been a few occasions when I had to perform a manual activation or manual 'rain delay' as the auto rain delay was inaccurate but this has been the exception. I appreciate the statistics that are collected and notifications using the iOS app.

Extremely disappointing experience with Orbit.
Extremely disappointing experience with Orbit. I expected better from a reputable brand, but this product is defective and fails to connect to the advertised 2.4 GHz Wi Fi. The unit only connects to the App via Bluetoothโnot the internetโwhich defeats its entire purpose. You must be physically near the device to control it, making remote watering (the main reason I bought it) impossible. Technical support was effectively useless, and the setup process felt unnecessarily complex, incomplete, inadequate, and incapable of resolving the problem. Unless youโre willing to spend hours troubleshooting it (and I do not guarantee it will help at all), this product is simply not worth the effort. To make matters worse, I purchased it for use while traveling, but since Iโm now out of the country, returning it isnโt feasible due to the short return window. In the end, I had to resort to a basic timer and even pay someone to manage watering manuallyโsomething this product was supposed to eliminate. Save your money and your timeโthere are far better, less frustrating ways of wasiting you $ 83.

Excellent device
I use these items for watering our landscaping plants. This makes my fourth device for watering plants. I have three for our home at the city and bought this one for our place at the farm. I make sure the plants are watered anywhere Im at. If it was set for a rain delay and it didn't rain I can select manual watering. I can create more than one schedule as well.

Works, but app could be better-No integration with Home Assistant
4 instead of 5 stars. I can remote control it, but requires a dongle plugged into a USB adapter inside the house to bridge the bluetooth to WiFi gap. I have the BHyve app at home for my wired irrigation system and THAT integrates to Home Assistant. The app design could be a LOT better, but it works and smart watering kinda works too, but not intuitive and difficult to use. The same app is what you use for this timer, but you have to add it as a second device. The second device does not have the ability to show up in Home Assistant, so you can't control it with home automation, only with the app. The other annoying thing is when you go to manually water, there is a 4-5 second delay to turn it on, then another 4-5 second delay to turn it off (delay between telling the app what to do, and delay to the action itself being taken). It's a step forward from the dial-based one outside. After a few months in the sun, the dial never turns smoothly and the timer eventually dies. This one there is no dial just a sealed manual button and complete app control. Hopefully this will be better. Connectivity is sketchy sometimes, even with the dongle on the other side of the wall inside the house from the timer, but you have to keep it close (50ft or so).

Convenient control.
Iโve only used it for 2weeks but it works great. Itโs hooked to a hose bib which is awkward to access so itโs great to be able to control remotely from my phone. Iโve noticed that if Iโm not in the room where the hub is plugged in to a wall outlet, my phone sometimes has trouble making a connection with it but thatโs a minor issue. I like that I get messages when it turns on and off, and for those notifications it seems the phone location doesnโt matter. I also have several older Orbit timer controls which have worked great but donโt have remote control.

Disappointing
Have always liked Orbit, but this unit , WiFi hub, quit working after a couple of weeks. Talked to customer service and they didnโt have a replacement , weeks out before restock. Would not purchase again and avoid Orbit all together, quite disappointing. Purchased a sprinkler controller and will probably return due to this issue.

app tries its hardest to convince you the device does not work
for whatever reason, the app tries its hardest to convince you the device does not work. upon startup, it immediately attempts a bluetooth connection indefinitely, despite having a wifi connection set up. (on iOS) you need to minimize the app and re-open it, ignore the bluetooth connection errors, and resume using it as normal. if you suspect connectivity issues, apparently the rssi value in the app is totally bogus. it always shows me a -88 value, even if i put it within a millimeter of a starlink satellite. i had to check my router administration page to see the actual connectivity, which was OK (-38 dBm in reality). finally, what really gave me high blood pressure, is when you first get the device, one would probably attempt to set a test schedule (outside of the device test step) to validate all is working fine. but what the device will do is skip your program schedule if it is not far enough in the future. for example, i have everything set up at 6:35pm -- i want to make sure everything is fine so i set it to run at 6:40pm, in 5 minutes. it will not run, and you will waste time troubleshooting the issue. what is not communicated to end users is that there is a schedule threshold -- it will not run if the scheduled time is too soon. i couldn't tell you what the threshold is, as it is not documented anywhere, and the manual doesn't even tell you how to install batteries. i found that scheduling a watering session at least ~20 minutes into the future will trigger as expected. despite these issues, 3/5, great device, works after tinkering. more than i can say of previous attempts using devices of other brands!

Surpassed my wildest expectations
Compared to the older water timers, this is the next generation. Easily programmed, it has been reliably watering my new grass seed 4 times a day for the last 10 days with no hitches. It keeps me in the loop with frequent status reports, and it even watches the weather reports to save water when it rains or add a bit when itโs extra hot. All this is fairly common for whole-yard irrigation systems, but above and beyond for a faucet switch. The app interface gives flow rates, which my main irrigation system does not. Iโm very pleased.

Excellent timer!
So happy with this unit! The set up took only a few minutes, and it worked perfectly right off the bat. I love being able to control it from my phone. I will be purchasing more of these!

Super easy to program works well

Was good initially now after a month disappointed
Works well except app doesn't interpret weather 100%. Unit turned on without any prompts from me or the program. Couldn't shut it off via program so had to turn water off manually. Program doesn't even register that it ran for 30 minutes.
