This is my second set. I purchased the second set of these as a back-up (which I have never needed) and because the original one that I was using developed a loose and scratchy volume/gain knob. Please understand that this only happened after using these on a daily basis for a couple of years. The original still works fine, but I find that the volume control moves too easily. The new ones that I bought to replace the original does not have this issue, but then again....it is new as of a couple of months ago. They have great quality with NO hiss or background interference...easily powers my in-ears with plenty of gain remaining if I ever needed it. Find a clear channel and you are good to go!! Other in-ear monitors cost far more and do not offer any better quality than these. I have been VERY HAPPY with this purchase and have recommended this model to other musicians.
