Works in the machine. Only good for small shirt buttons.

waste of money, quicker sewing buttons on, machine and refills to complicated and the refills just didnt work propaly wasted loads of them trying.

does what is says on the pack! Bit expensive for what it is though

bought as accessory to the buttoneer but really poor quality. only fits really small buttons.not really useful for crafts

Yes it does the job with a bit of a struggle - But I remember being able to purchase a far better and sturdier machine back in the 70's

Ces attaches sont INUTILISABLES : j'ai tenté à 12 reprises de fixer un bouton de chemise (donc dans un tissu très fin) et chaque fois l'attache s'est rompue. Je n'ai donc pas pu fixer mon bouton. JE PRIE INSTAMMENT AMAZON DE RETIRER CE PRODUIT DE LA VENTE. C'EST DU VOL DE LA PART DU FABRIQUANT ET DE LA PART DU COMMERÇANT (AMAZON) QUI NOUS LE VEND. NOTE : J'utilise le Buttoneer depuis qu'il existe. Les attaches étaient excellentes à l'origine et permettaient de fixer un bouton sur tout type de tissu.

I know others have commented about the larger plastic or something used in these refills. I've had my buttoneer for years and years and this refill kit had the same size plastic thingys as my original. It's always been hit or miss for me, but eventually it works. I always felt like it was probably something I did wrong putting the plastic piece in, or pressing too slow or too fast. It's not a big deal, I just get another thingy and try again until it works. This little gem is a life saver for a guy who doesn't have anything to sew with and certainly doesn't want to learn how to sew. And it's so much faster and I haven't had a button come off yet! Love it and have for years.

This product seemed like the perfect solution for my husband when he's traveling. It is very difficult to line it up to properly position your button. Fine - that can be dealt with. The biggest problem is the fact that the button fasteners break at the slightest pull. Also, it does not work with thicker buttons nor does it work on thick fabric.

I had to sew so many buttons on pants for suspenders, but the buttons would not stay on for full one day. I guess it will work for on a shirt or for lighter use. I was very disappointed.
