The red hard plastic battery cover broke. The one that covers the positive terminal on my 8 year old Toyota battery that gave up the ghost in the middle of winter. So after I replaced the battery I tried to find a big battery cover on Amazon that I could fit over the top of the terminal. These came the closest to the size I needed and with a little surgery it worked. I didn't need six but the price was right. And it's protecting the terminal. In the old days you didn't worry about that but we didn't have computers running our cars either. These are soft plastic so it was easy to make them work. If you can put these on before you connect the battery these would be great. Soft heavy rubbery like plastic that should hold up for a long time. One good tip if you are replacing your car battery check Walmart just do not purchase extra insurance. Amazing deal.

Large and well made

Used for my sailboat, battery terminals are connected from multiple directions with multiple leads for attached accessories, so the large square end cover was perfect allowing me to cut openings in the sides or end to accomodate additional connections. Covering terminal on a boat complies with ABYS safety standards. Need to be aware of the size of the your battery clamps or terminals at the end of the cables, it may not fit through the small round end of the cover. Solution is to remove the battery clamp from the battery cable if possible, or split the round end lengthwise, then tape with hi heat electrical tape, or if you need just a little space to slide it through try heating cover end with a hairdryer for slightly more stretch.

I will be using these battery terminal covers on my boat I've actually tried a pair and im pleased, they were save any potential of arcing ect . Good price well packaged great product would recommend this product and its supplies.
