My use case for the Upscale 3 is literally day to day use. The LV8 is now just used when I will be wearing it for hours at a time. I had a v2 bag and liked the layout of the bag but the sling itself would cut into my neck. I didn't care for the Molle webbing on the outside either because it was in a place I would never use it and it kinda gives the bag away as a "tactical bag". I tend to add more junk to my slings if they've got the space. This sling forces me to carry only what is absolutely necessary, but allows for a few additional small important item's. It's compact and feels very durable. There's a cheap holster included but it actually does the job just fine.
