I did experience a concerning issue with the keyboard, however. On the second day of usage, the "d" key began to misfire. It would not register when pressed from an angle during gaming (the keyboard is in fact marketed as a gaming apparatus). I noticed this during an FPS game. The lighting option when registered key light up helped me determine the switch itself was malfunctioning. Upon taking out the switch, I noticed that one of the copper pins was bent. I replaced the switch with its neighbor just to check it was faulty and voila! The switch worked. Under any other circumstances, I would have returned the keyboard immediately, but I wanted to give the Etrobot a second chance (it's that nice!). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Value in a Mechanical Keyboard *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2018* I just received the keyboard and am absolutely astounded at the initial quality. On sale for $39.50, I really thought I was taking a chance as it is half the price of comparable keyboards. I was replacing a Thermaltake keyboard with brown switches that cost more than twice as much and the ET Robot keyboard is at least as solid in build quality. It's made primarily of a single piece of aluminum in a "U" shape that sandwiches a plastic core that mounts the key switches. It is quite attractive, though the font on the keys is a bit space-age for my taste, but I know that's just a personal preference.I was surprised that the package included a key/switch puller and two spare switches should a key fail in the future. Anything mechanical can fail and having a single key go bad pretty much ruins a keyboard. The ability to repair worn-out switch in the future adds quite a bit of value to the package in my opinion. It's a thoughtful, extra little bonus you just never see in products these days. (And probably a smart way to cut down on support costs as well.)I'm still getting used to the keyboard itself. It feels a bit more compact than my previous keyboard. I found myself pushing the keyboard a bit farther to the right. I compared it to my old keyboard and sure enough, while they are essentially the same size, the ET Robotics keyboard has a larger border from the edge of the keyboard to the keys themselves. So the actual keys are a bit closer together (about a half or three quarters of an inch over the entire width of the keyboard.)Those key caps though. It's like they reach out and grab your fingers and hold on! They have a super-grippy top to them that is a bit odd at first, but does grow on you as you get comfortable with it. I like it, and I think over time I'll come to really prefer it.Finally, the manual could use a little time with a native English editor. It took me some time to simply figure out how NOT to have a light show going and just have a solid backlight (FN+INS) and control the brightness (FN+Up/Down). If you are into such things I think you'll find plenty to play with, I'm just old and want backlit keys to help me see them better!If, like me, you are actually hesitating because the price seems too low to be true I'd highly recommend taking the plunge.
