This is a rather nice Calvin Klein tie, and yes, it is a 'slim' or narrow tie. Interestingly, it's made from recycled polyester and recycled acetate!!! The widest portion of the tie is 2 1/2" which looks fine on me but I've got a smaller chest size (38" - not a big guy) so I'm not sure if the narrow tie would look different on a bigger guy. Not sure how the proportions change in this situation. Also of note is that the blue tie that I ordered is definitely a 'navy' tie. In the product description, I thought the blue was lighter. Of course different computer monitors and screens make colors appear differently, so you can never be exactly sure of color hue or tint. I'm not at all disappointed with this!!! Recommended!

It is a very narrow tie. I normally do not like thin ties. I like Calvin Klein normally. The picture is also deceiving in the ad. I decided to keep it, though. I think I spent only $21.

This is a really nice tie that is easy to go with any occasion. The thinner style works great for teens since it’s more proportional to their build and stature. The material feels nice and looks good. No threads coming loose or runs in the material.

These ties are too slim and too cheap, stay away

This tie is well made and the color really pops. It looks elegant and fits well. Perfect for a blue or black suit. I’m always looking for a good solid color for the husband because I’m partial for a solid power tie - this does it.
