Strap Might Not Suitable for You
A week into wearing the Epix Pro Gen 2. So far so good. I used it to read or glance at messages, while keeping the phone in my pocket or while I drive. I also set a workout for kettlebell, and work well although I turn it inside my wrist to avoid clashing with it. Plan to used also for swimming but not too excited about it. I don't know if it holds well in water, when this is probably the most expensive watch I ever bought. Battery is great, long live. Charging is quick. The strap felt a bit 'hot' on my hand. I don't fell comfortable wearing it. I might changed it later.

The Fitness Tracker That Thinks ‘Error’ is a Training Mode
The Garmin EPIX Pro 2—your passport to explorations and letdowns. It's like that friend who boasts about their sense of direction but, when push comes to shove, can't lead a group out of the kitchen and into the living room. Would you trust the EPIX Pro 2 to deliver an accurate breadcrumb trail when the trail turns deceptive? At first, it appears to be a thing of beauty. A timepiece that seems ready to conquer Everest while you are merely trying to endure a grocery run. It has all the looks and well, all the moves, making you feel as if you are on the fast track to fitness nirvana. But! Just like my last three relationships, it is threatening to dissolve into chaos. The watch is crammed with features that promise to monitor everything from your heart rate to your deep-seated anxieties. And while it could've been the ultimate companion for your outdoor beatdowns, the software sucks harder than my caffeine-addled brain did the morning after last night's debauchery. It might as well have a "self-sabotage" mode built in—one minute, you're between reps, and the next, it's convinced you're basking in the afterglow of the worst decision you've ever made. Now let's discuss those little insects. If I wanted to witness something going south, I could just rewatch my dating life. The loyal and trusted workout "Companions" were obstinate misfit strangers—invited guests at my unfit funeral. They were party poopers, repeatedly stalling in mid-movement, losing GPS signals as if they were disillusioned with relationships, and attacking my fitness goals when I was down on my knees in some kind of strange personal fitness prayer. It was trying to hide in plain sight if it ever did in fact function successfully. Returning these ardent workout "companions" began to feel like Turkey's recent escape from the EU: a necessity for survival and a series of steps that, in hindsight, felt damn good. To sum up, the Garmin EPIX Pro 2 could be great if it only could get its act together. Until then, it's just another reminder that sometimes, even the most promising tech can end in disaster. If you enjoy the unpredictability of living on the edge and don't mind a tech abyss, you might enjoy this. Otherwise, save your heart and look for something that can promise you tech excitement with less risk.

White casing??? Awful
It is white on the side of the casing, really horrendous. I had a 47mm Epix before that wasn't white on the side and really liked the look so I asumed this one would also be in full chrome look, I didn't notice it from the pictures. But when you look closely you can actually see on the images that it is white on the side. I have no idea what was driving Garmin to do this. It not only looks horrendous, it only works with the white strap - which also looks horrendous. The advantage of this watch, especially the epix in chrome look, was that they were versatile, you could put on a leather stripe and use a analogue watch face and it would go through as elegant, or you could go sporty. This one has none of the versatility, I have no idea for whom this could possibly be working, for women it is too big and men can't wear white sports watches, not even for sports.

I had an Apple Watch and couldn't stand it. But I can't keep this one away from me. Excellent. User-friendly. High quality. Everything is great. Thank you for making it with so much care.

The watch itself is fine. However when you pay the best part of $1,000. For a watch you expect more. The box was cardboard and the watch holder is cheap cardboard. The strap…. The strap on the 42mm is awful. It’s like made for children it is tiny. So not only did I have the privilege of spending $1,000 on this watch I now have to find a longer strap which will cost another $50!! If I could return it I would. If you are thinking about buying this, may be think again. I would certainly say it is NOT worth the money!
