Wanted to put it through the paces before commenting. Working alone building your add on structure or what have you, this thing is a great framing hammer. Toe nails beautifully. Reasonably lightweight. Wear ear plugs. Makes a pretty substantial pop noise. Shoots 3.5 inch round head nails (as opposed to those goofy half headed style...my opinion). Nails feed nice and can be easily removed to switch to treated wood style nails. I put a few drops of the proper type oil in the air connector hole before each work day rather than buy the inline oil feed. Between 90 and a hundred psi is adequate.I bought the Makita mac 700 compressor to power it up. I wanted something quiet. It's like the relative quiet of a 4 stroke as compared to a two stroke (motorcycle reference). When using this nail gun the compressor kicks on after driving seven or eight 3.5 nails. I could shoot a couple more if need be, but It never bothered me to pause while the thing only takes 15 seconds to build back up to recommended pressure. I never needed to hurry anyway. Often you're rearranging a board or straightening something so it was never an issue. If you're shooting smaller nails, (2.5 inch minimum) I doubt there's any issue at all with hang time.You'll need a coupler kit. (I got Ampro A1460 18 piece). I.e.an air tool hose connector set. Gotta have it an not too pricy. And most importantly a length of air hose. I got the goodyear 045 3/8 inch by 50 feet hose, yellow in color. A good hose matters. You're dragging it around, stepping on it, pulling on it when it's hung up on something. And this one is an excellent fit.All these items work well together and will be all you need to get going. Considering that I was new to the power nailer game I believe I'd made excellent choices. At one point I forgot about the old hand held hammer. Nails and pneumatic tool oil drops can be had conveniently at any Home depot type outlet. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This should be your choice ! *by G***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2013* This is one great gun! I don't see a reason to choose any other nail gun over this one.It works a lot better than the NR83A2. With the NR83A2 I get a lot of jams and a lot of miss fires and this translates into less productivity.I owned the NR90AE(S) for about 3 months. Shot around 10.000 - 12.000 nails with it.I had only one jam and one miss fire, maybe two.I would also like to mention that I run 110 - 120psi and I use a drop of oil every couple of days.It worked flawlessly even in 15 - 20 below weather.The NR90AE(S) shoots 2 inch to 3 1/2 inch nails.You can adjust the depth really easy. It has a depth adjustment wheel right by the trigger.This gun has two firing modes. ( Bump fire - where you can keep the trigger pressed and it will shoot a nail when you bump the tip of the gun, and single fire - it will shoot one nail at a time ). You can switch from one to the other just by using a switch that's located right above the trigger.It also has a cap on top which directs the air blast, down and away from you. You never get to feel any air blast.The nail magazine is made out of aluminum.The NR90AE(S) is light compared to other models and I think this is why some think it is not heavy duty, but in fact it is. I don't anticipate having any problems in the future. If I do, I will edit this review.5 stars ! I read the reviews and went for this gun.The weight of this gun is awesome, I was borrowing a buddies bostich and it was much heavier. Pro Tip : get yourself a lightweight air hose, likeΒ  PUR-Hose PUR-38X100 3/8-Inch X 100 Foot Polyurethane 250 PSI Air Hose . When you are up in the air, it's not just the weight of the gun you are holding, it's the air hose also...After I framed the walls, I brought in a professional crew to set the trusses. They had no problem using my gun... I don't think anyone would have complained, they just wouldn't use it if they didn't like it.All in all, I've probably sent 30,000 nails through the unit and it works good as new. I did end up with one box of nails that would always jam when there was 3 or 4 nails on the strip and I was getting a little fed up with the gun, until I realized it was the nails giving me problems not the gun.Always wear safety glasses with this gun. Because of the plastic material that holds the nails in a strip with full head nails, the plastic gets ejected in random directions.
