I have been concerned about their safety and tired of replacing (mostly) charger cords. I have used this tubing to cover all exposed lamp and television cords in rooms my cats access. It is quite stiff and a little tricky to release the tube enough to get the cords inside, but it makes them very secure once they are inside. I use electrical tape to cover any small gaps between the appliance and the wrap as well as the plug and the wrap. It does leave a bad smell on your hands, but a couple of rounds of soap and water gets rid of it, and the peace of mind is WELL worth it. I highly recommend this if you have chewing critters.
