Medium sized pot. Black chain not too long or short, the pot is made of plastic, and super light weight! I was afraid of hanging this on my ceiling hook because I didn’t know how much weight it could take but it worked out perfectly. The hanger is sturdy, even when full of water, as it’s self-watering. Beautiful green color and well made. The top white part moves around but it’s where the plant actually sits and it has been helpful when I need to adjust the soil or the plant itself. It’s my favorite accent among my plants. This plant was pretty much dead previous to re-potting and it seems to have liked it a lot, as it has new growth and is thriving. I will probably order another one for my vine propagations.

Love love love these planters! They look nice for being cheap plastic but best of all they are EFFECTIVE. The wicks really soak up the moisture when needed and I can go a month without watering. My monkey cup plant has exploded after repotting it! My only gripe is the inner liners are a little too flimsy, and a little small. I NEED these style of planters in 10, 12 and 14 inches please!

Oh, what a positively charming little planter! The rich emerald hue simply sings against my flourishing greenery, and the self-watering design makes me feel rather like the Dowager Countess of Plant Care — effortlessly grand without lifting so much as a watering can. The metal hanging chain is sturdy enough to inspire confidence, unlike Nigel from accounts, and it hangs with the sort of elegance one might expect from a well-heeled socialite at a garden party. That said, one must acknowledge — with a discreet cough behind a lace handkerchief — that the pot itself does feel a touch how shall we say? …economical. A bit of lightweight plastic masquerading as heirloom quality, if you catch my drift. Still, once festooned with verdant splendour, who’s to notice? I daresay it’s the botanical equivalent of wearing paste diamonds to the opera — looks fabulous, just don’t invite anyone in for a close inspection. Four stars and a polite round of applause!

I ordered this to repot my philodendron. I had this same pot in a smaller size, zero issues with that one, as well as this larger one. They look really nice, the green is quite pretty and looks like glass, while not being a hazard. The watering ability works great, my plants are thriving, and I don't have to worry about watering them every day. No worries about it hanging, it's well-made and up to the task. Nothing about it feels cheap or flimsy. Zero negatives to report, totally happy with this pot.

Excellent planter. You can see thru the green plastic to see the water level and know when to re-water. I just water the dirt until the reservoir fills up. Chains do tangle so you need to get them straight before you hang the planter. Note that the actual plant area is only 4” deep, the rest holds water, so you’re getting less planting area than you might think. But it works great for my African violets.

This is so pretty and works so well. My plant is doing great in it. I was a bit skeptical that the piece of string would work as advertised but it really does work. I would just caution to pay close attention to the size of the inner pot. They’re much shallower than the outer pot, so I had to buy a larger size than I normally would due to the size difference. You can see the inner, white pot in the picture and you can see how much smaller it is than the outer pot to make room for the water. I also love that these can be used as a hanging or stationary pot. I just wish they made larger sizes as this one is good for now but when it grows bigger there are no larger pots to purchase.

They look great! The green base holds water, there's a smaller bowl inside to hold the plant and dirt, and a little wick to siphon water from the base to the bowl. Genius! The only trouble is that some dirt gets into the base. Easy to see how much water there is though, no more accidentally killing plants by forgetting the water! Now I can kill them as nature intended - by forgetting to move to bigger pots!

Came in a undisturbed package but without the chain to hang. Otherwise really good
