Great quality and easy to set up
Can't fault this product. It was really easy to set up and the sound quality from my iphone to my car speakers is as good as connecting it via a cable. It plays music from my iPhone library or straight from the spotify app. I can also make and receive phone calls which are clear for both the caller and receiver. When the call is finished it starts playing the music again. Not all bluetooth products allow you to both make calls and play music but this one does. My Tom Tom sat nav app on the iPhone also plays over bluetooth to the car speakers. It also works whilst charging and the iPhone pairs automatically as soon as you turn on the ignition so you can almost forget it is there. I have a separate charger for my phone for long journeys but it will work if your phone is on charge or not. I spent a long time looking at suitable products and this is perfect and great value for money. It just proves you don't have to spend a fortune.

Excellent Bluetooth Car Kit – Easy to Use
I've only just got the Kinivo BTC480 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit, but so far, it's working great. Pros: ✅ Crystal-Clear Audio – Calls and music sound great with no noticeable static. ✅ Brilliant Dual USB Charger – The included charger is a fantastic bonus, allowing me to charge my phone while using the kit. ✅ Easy Setup – Plug it into the aux port, pair via Bluetooth, and you're ready to go. ✅ Multipoint Connectivity – I haven’t tried this yet, but it’s a great feature to have. Useful Info: 🔹 Magnetic Mount – I don’t use the magnetic mount because my car has a perfect spot where the unit sits securely on its own, but it’s a nice option to have. Cons: ❌ Occasional Audio Issues – A couple of times, the audio has been really bad when connecting. It seems to be fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting, but sometimes I’ve had to turn it off and restart it completely. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it can be a bit of a hassle. Verdict: A solid Bluetooth solution for cars without built-in Bluetooth. The audio is crisp, the USB charger is brilliant, and setup is hassle-free. There have been occasional connection issues, but overall, it’s a great device for hands-free calls and music.

Just what I wanted - awesome.
Superb product, works as expected. Connects to phone without fail. Purpose of this device for me was to allow me to play music from my phone to my car speakers. Button to pause/play music providing you have your music app open on the phone already/running in the background. Awesome sound quality along with my Alpine Hifi upgraded speakers/tweeters/amp in a BMW. Steering wheel volume buttons work with this device on my e81 - i suspect it'll be fine for any car with s/w controls. Usually I don't take calls in the car but answered on occasions and caller has been able to hear me fine, I have been able to hear them clearly without any issues. Worth noting if you receive a call when listening to music on the device, the music will mute and resume after call has ended. This is actually the second Bluetooth device I have tried, previous brand was garbage and opted for this one, have not regretted the decision since purchase. So to end, I'd 100% recommend this product if you're looking for a simple device, that is ideal for bluetooth music streaming device from phone, easy to setup and works faultlessly.

What a fantastic car Bluetooth adaptor!
I couldn't quite believe some of the effusive reviews of this product, but once I plugged it in I also had no doubt in my mind. This is tbe best Bluetooth adaptor I've ever tried. To understand the design of the product, imagine three wires radiating from a central point (hub). One of the wires terminates in an aux in plug, another in a 5V cigarette lighter plug, and the third in a sort of disk-like 'control unit' (as pictured on the product information page). The latter incorporates the microphone, the single push button to answer calls and two tiny buttons to move up or down through your music. The control knob can be stuck onto the dashboard with the provided double-sided glue disk (there's a spare) and of course I won't need to clarify where the other two wires end up. Plenty of wire length in all three directions to accommodate variations in positioning of Aux in and cigarette lighter sockets. For instance, in my MK4 Mondeo the Aux-in socket is inside the glove box (the Ford designer must've been high on that day!!), but as the plug is L-shaped I can still close the box once this is plugged in. How is it like in practise? Well, in one word, superb. Pairs effortlessly with my Galaxy S3 every time I get into the car, the quality of the music or calls through the speakers is absolutely FANTASTIC. Really cannot tell the difference between this and a wired connection from my phone. Some reviews have stated the unit incorporates the AptX Bluetooth protocol - it doesn't. But to be honest I find A2DP perfectly adequate. Most if not all cars have a powerdown circuit which shuts off power to the cigarette lighter socket, so I don't anticipate having this plugged in causing any battery drain issues. I've stuck the control unit with the mic halfway up my dashboard but I'm sure it will pick up my voice even if attached underneath the dashboard or hidden away somewhere else close by. £25 well spent, and I'm no longer pfaffing around with the rechargeable Bluetooth adaptor that was attached to my sun visor and had a particularly nasty habit of losing charge in the middle of a call on the M25. If you're thinking about getting one, don't. BUY IT!

Small, unobtrusive and it works
Bought this to update an old car radio to get music streaming from phone and handsfree calls. This little gadget works really well. I didn't use the supplied power adapter because my 12V socket is powered up all the time, and I wanted this to turn on and off with the ignition. Fortunately the existing head unit has a USB socket which supplies switched power, and it's right next to the line-in socket which makes for a tidy(ish) installation. Ideally I would have had a version with just four inches of wire but I was able to tuck the excess away unobtrusively. For some reason one of the wires is much longer than the other one, can't remember which. In use, when I turn the car on it pairs pretty instantly with my phone. I haven't tried pairing two phones yet but it does support that, although I think there are some limitations in what the second phone can do. Music playback sounds fine (or anyway the head unit & speakers are the limiting factor, not this device). Buttons for pause/play, previous and next track are useful. Handsfree calls are good enough but you need to place the puck reasonably near to your mouth. Even then, I have to speak quite loud to be intelligible at motorway speeds. But it's a noisy car. The middle button can be used to start the phone's voice assistant, but I just call "hey Google" and that seems to work well even with the music playing quite loud.

A brilliant, practical device, and a joy to use!
I purchased this to link my Samsung Galaxy Note running Android 4.4.4 to my Honda Jazz (2006) as it has an AUX port and no Bluetooth. Previously, I used to have a charging and 3.5mm cables plugged in, but it was very inconvenient and messy. I knew the Kinovo was small, but after unboxing, I was pleased to see that it was even smaller than I thought, so I managed to easily find a convenient and discreet spot on the dashboard. The provided 2 x 3M pads are strong and have endured hot weather over the last few days with a strong bond and no movement. I connected the power and AUX, and turned the ignition 1 turn. The Kinovo turned on and was immediately in pairing mode and so I added the device on my phone - no passkey required. A jingle played once connected (this plays every time it connects) After that, it was ready! A single press on the main button opened up my default music application (Google Play Music) and continued playing the last played file on my phone. Another press would pause the music and close the application on the phone. The should buttons of the Kinovo skip tracks just like on any MP3 or CD player. Music quality is very good, no skips and as good as plugging the phone in directly to the AUX. Answering incoming calls is simple, a single press of the main button answers, and another press hangs up. The sound quality is clear with no missed audio during conversations (given phone signal is good!). When asking the caller about the sound for them, they have said that the volume is slightly faint as if I was using speakerphone, which I am. During all conversations, even driving at 60mph (the Honda Jazz does not have good sound insulation) I was not asked to repeat any part of the conversation. When used with Google Maps navigation, the music volume is lowered for voice directions and returns to normal afterwards. My only issue is not with this device at all, but with Google Now on Android - holding down the Kinovo's main button for 2-3 seconds activates voice commands on your phone. But upon doing so, Google Now opens, but no voice input is received. From what I have read and after trying another Bluetooth handsfree device, this is an issue with Google Now. After use, as soon as the key is removed from the ignition, the Kinovo is disconnected - exactly how car Bluetooth devices should be! Regardless of the voice input issues with my phone, I would not hesitate to purchase this product again. It's a very welcome addition to cars with limited expansion for technology and I highly recommend this product!

Didn’t even last 4 months before breaking
Bought this in December to replace one that had stopped working when the wire snapped. Less than 4 months later this one has failed too - no visible damage, it just no longer connects and I suspect the long thin fiddly wire is to blame again. It is a flimsy product and not very robust, am very disappointed at how quickly it broke.

Works reasonably well but may require an extra purchase to eliminate noise
Prior to purchasing this I had installed an Xcarlink in my Mazda6 with its bluetooth attachment. The sound quality from the XCarlink's microphone was always pretty poor so when it broke down I decided to try using this with the XCarlink's audio-in port. This worked perfectly, except for the fact that when the Kinivo is on there is a high-pitched background noise and I needed to purchase a ground-loop isolator (an extra £10) to eliminate this. Once that was in place the system works well and the sound quality is good. In addition to the main button there are also fast forward and rewind buttons which are useful for controlling music streaming from a phone. It powers itself from the cigarette lighter socket. Thoughfully it has a power pass through in the form of a USB socket so you can stIll plug in other car gadgets such as satnavs that can draw power from a USB socket. However, if you should have another device that plugs directly into the lighter socket bear in mind that you won't be able to use the Kinivo at the same time.

Einfach perfekt!!

One month review: Excellent product
I had been looking at a bluetooth hands-free option for my car and looked at many popular brands (Belkin). I was also concerned with the fact that bluetooth being a wireless technology, I will be loosing quality of the sound when streaming music over bluetooth. I zeroed in on this one after reading some excellent review on Amazon.com (US). Kinivo may not be a very popular brand but this product is well worth every penny. This product is an excellent fit for any car. I have been using this well over a month now and can say I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. Pros: 1. If you own an AptX supported device like the Xperia Z3 look no further, this bluetooth device is AptX compatible, and gives an extremely superb audio quality when streamed over bluetooth 2. Auto connects when the car is started 3. Good in-call voice quality 4. Supports voice commands with Google Now (Use the BTNow app to switch from voice dialler to Google Now) to speak commands to get directions, play music etc Cons: (Nothing major. Works perfect!!) 1. Wires are a quite thin & delicate, but if you install the kit with care, they shouldn't bother you much. You are not really going to wire on and off this thing every time. Its a car kit. It just stays there once you install.
