FOR ME: A Perfect Earbud
I liked my XM4's but the XM5's are clearly superior.

Debatable whether these are better than the Sony XM4 (previous version)
I bought these to use while my XM4 versions were off for warranty replacement due to rapid battery discharge. The XM4s sound better. But, the XM4s are annoying because when I answer my phone and then take the earbuds out of the storage case to put them in my ears, when they connec,t they always interrupt my phone call to say "Connected to phone" or something like that. I always miss a second or two of what the other person is saying, every time. With the XM5s, in the same scenario, they just play a quick beep to let me know they've connected. I don't miss any of what the other person is saying. Also, they both support multi-point connections. Meaning, I can have them connected to my laptop and my phone at the same time. With the XM4s, I can be listening to music from my laptop, then a phone call comes in, I answer it, and the ear buds automatically switch over and I'm on the phone via my earbuds. It works well. The XM5s do not work well for auto switching between the two sources. I had to set that pair back to not doing multi-point.

These are the worst ear buds I've ever purchased
These ear buds are big and bulky they dontnfit nice inner earnatnall it says they have the best noise canceling but they dont block out noise at all. They have a few nice new features. But they are too heavy fall.out of ur ear and I've tried everything possible to drowned out extra noise and to see what's to great about these. I bought quiet comfort Bose and for the cost of these I should of bought myself another pair ofntuose at least it has the find my buds option on it and helps find ur buds with sound but not these. Not even close to being worth the cost . I have shiny wz700 half the price way better sound and much more comfortable. I'll b sending.mine back I'd rather have something nice for the price i paid

STAY AWAY
Worst ever, the ear piece is ugly foam that soaks up everything even your ear wax and they are also generic. Not to mention terrible battery life. They stopped working for me nearly 8 months after purchasing it. Its expensive and it sucks. I've had better quality with skull candy than these unfortunately.

Great sound bad quality
The sound and ANC are exceptional but major connection issues and the right earbud kept dropping in and out, so I returned it and got a Jabra 10 with slightly lesser sound quality but solid reliability.

Donโt buy.
My husband had Sony headphones when I bought these and he loved them but he only had one. I surprised him with these for Christmas and at first they were great. However now they die within 30 minutes. Such a huge waste of money!

Built in Alexa Beware
Was planning on purchasing this until I saw it has Amazon Alexa built in.... which unfortunately kills this product for me. Reviewers have already proven Alexa is always Listening, making these a privacy nightmare. I will look elsewhere for HiFi earbuds.
