It is robust enough for all applications (condensing / non-condensing / gas / oil & wood burning boiler flues). This finish is also suitable for coastal installations. Plastic Coated Plastic coated (low density polyethylene) guards protect the steel mesh against weathering & corrosion from the low-temperature exhaust fumes produced by modern condensing boiler flues. Not suitable for oil boilers, non-condensing boilers or coastal installations. JS 500 The JS 500 Leach and Seal finish is an automotive grade finish, which is applied on top of the standard Electro-zinc plate and passivate surface. This additional layer of protection is resistive to the corrosive effects of non-condensing oil boiler exhaust gases. It is suitable only for conventional (non-condensing) oil boiler flues. If fitted to a condensing boiler flue, this product will deteriorate quickly due to corrosive effects of condensate in the exhaust gases.
