What More Can I Say?
I’ve reviewed many other books by Ryan Holiday this same way; you won’t regret reading this. Ryan’s style of writing is entertaining and educational. You learn about the struggles and accomplishments of historical figures. And there life lessons tie into stoic lessons we can apply to our own lives. I look forward to his next release in the virtues series and I know I’ll enjoy the next one just as much. I encourage everyone to read this book.

I have read all of Ryan Holiday's books... this continues the Stoic Virtues Series. Don't miss it!
Ryan Holiday's "Right Thing, Right Now: Good Values. Good Character. Good Deeds." is a masterful addition to The Stoic Virtues Series. As someone deeply interested in practical philosophy and personal development, I found this book both enlightening and actionable. Holiday seamlessly integrates ancient Stoic wisdom with modern-day challenges, offering a guide that is as relevant today as it was centuries ago. His clear, engaging writing style makes complex concepts accessible, and the real-life examples he provides help illustrate how these timeless principles can be applied to everyday situations. The book’s emphasis on doing the right thing in the moment, cultivating good character, and committing to good deeds resonates deeply and provides a blueprint for living a more virtuous life. What sets this book apart is its practical approach. Holiday doesn't just theorize about Stoic virtues; he provides concrete steps and exercises to help readers incorporate these values into their lives. Each chapter ends with actionable advice that encourages reflection and growth, making it an invaluable resource for anyone looking to improve their character and decision-making. The book's structure is well-organized, making it easy to digest and refer back to key points. Whether you're new to Stoicism or a seasoned practitioner, "Right Thing, Right Now" offers profound insights and practical tools to help you navigate life's challenges with integrity and purpose. This book is a must-read for anyone committed to personal development and ethical living.

Without a doubt this is Ryan Holiday's best writing
I have read most of Ryan Holiday's books, and without a shadow of a doubt, this is his best writing. I bought this book twice so I can share it with others. While reading this book I came across my very own crossroads. The same metaphorical crossroads that Hercules himself faced. Without this book, I wouldn't have been able to discern the significance of my own crossroads moment. It's forced me to reevaluate my life deeply and profoundly. The questions this book constantly poses to its reader are simple, if not you then who? If not now then when? Can you do the right thing even though it will cost you? Can you stop looking for the third thing when you do something right? Can you be good for the sake of being good? Of all the stoic virtues this I truly believe to be the most important. Right thing, right now. Thank you Ryan Holiday for this amazing work.

Meh
I’ve read all of Ryan’s books on stoicism. Loved all of them. This one is a good read and I would recommend it. However, if you do not see eye to eye with Ryan on some political, many portions of the book will get on your nerves. The virtue signaling and wining is very prevalent. As always, Ryan does this in the best way possible but it’s still very prevalent in the pages. I almost did not finish it a couple times but decided to keep going. Will not be reading a second time. Writers can be very irritating at times lol I think they can forget that they just write and are not actually the people they are writing about.

a reminder of the things that make a difference
Character matters. There is a right and just path - a way forward to create a better and more just way for those who depend on us, those who follow us. The stories and examples shared in this book can awaken the spark within us to do the best we can where we are to create a better world. A book to awaken our hopefulness into action.

Great read as usual with all of Ryans books! I particularly loved courage is calling (as courage is perhaps one of the more glamorous virtues) and felt it highlighted the potential or capability of the human spirit. The reaction was almost the opposite reading Right thing, Right Now, as the book constantly held up a mirror to the own injustices I see within myself and my own life. Called out. That's a great way to describe it. Reading this book with openness is pivotal for it to land. For me it was recognizing I was not as just of a person as I had previously thought (I have work to do).
