I have purchased 12 of these Samsung SmartTags2 and the previous SmartTag model. They are great for tracking anything and everything, your keys, cars, luggage, valuables and even your parents by attaching them to their cellphone wallets--a muat have for when you travel and want to let your family know your location. HOWEVER this 2nd version has such a bad battery life! I have had this one for less than a month and it's already telling me that my battery is low. The original Samsung SmartTag (pictured here in black) I've had for over a year and I have yet to change the original battery. It may be that I also have allowed another person in my household full access to it that may be an additional cause to the battery being drained. That being said, it still has various sound options for you to find while using the Samsung SmartThings App. The cons: If you're buying a silicone cover, make sure to buy a metal carabiner such as the one in the picture in the left. The one on the right will break. -Low battery warning less than a month after purchase. -Has to be deactivated from the original phone that it was registered and paired with. -It takes a while to pair and you'll have to update the software before it is able to pair. Pros: -Value foe your money. I have purchased these at $16 and $20 on sale. -Lightweight -Large keyhole that will not get pulled over time or break vs the original SmartTag -Works with a Samsung Galaxy S20+ -Allows multiple people access to the keyfob, from full to partial access. -Will save you time from looking for X thing and driving you nuts. -Great for tracking people who are being sneaky links!

Für eilige Leser die Zusammenfassung vorab: Ich bin damit sehr zufrieden. Im Alltag funktionieren sie gut. Der Hauptverwendungszweck ist bei mir daheim an Schlüsselbunden, die ich gern mal verlege. Bei anderen Einsatzwecken (z.B. in Fahrzeugen, in Koffern, usw.) hängt die Genauigkeit der Standortbestimmung von Faktoren ab, die nicht vom SmartTag beeinflusst werden können. Das ist allerdings in der Funktionsweise von Trackern dieser Art begründet (gilt also auch für Tracker anderer Hersteller). Sehr gut gefällt mir, dass sie recht klein, flach und leicht sind; sie haben abgerundete Kanten und passen gut an den Schlüsselbund, ohne zu dick aufzutragen. Die Einrichtung über die Samsung-App SmartThings ist sehr einfach. Für die Standortanzeige gibt es eine Karte. Außerdem kann ich sie zum Wiederfinden zum „Piepen“ bringen. Das ist gut! Leider sind keine Aufkleber dabei, um mehrere SmartTags voneinander unterscheiden zu können. In der App können dagegen verschiedene Namen vergeben werden. Sie sind ein tolles Hilfsmittel bzw. Gimmick und zum Angebotspreis sehr zu empfehlen. Ich würde sie wieder kaufen. Wer noch mehr wissen möchte, kann hier weiterlesen: 1. Auspacken / Bauform: Der Versand wie immer bei Amazon gut verpackt und rasend schnell. Am Tag nach der Bestellung lagen sie bereits im Briefkasten. Super! Die Samsung SmartTags sind sehr klein und kommen in einer sehr kleinen Schachtel. Ein Grund für den Kauf war die Bauform. Die Samsung SmartTags sind sehr flach, leicht, klein und durch die abgerundeten Kanten nach meinem Empfinden echte Handschmeichler. Tracker anderer Hersteller wirkten auf mich deutlich dicker, kantiger. Sie passen gut an jeden Schlüsselbund, ohne zu dick aufzutragen. Sie passen außerdem in kleine Nischen von Koffern und Taschen. Das finde ich sehr gut! 2. Die Einrichtung: Eine Anleitung ist nicht (!) beigefügt. Die Einrichtung war trotzdem sehr einfach. Ich besitze nämlich ein Samsung Mobiltelefon. Dort übernimmt die vorinstallierte App "Smart Things" die Einrichtung direkt nach dem Entfernen des Batterieschutzes aus den SmartTags und erklärt alle weiteren Schritte. Werden mehrere SmartTags verbunden, können eigene Namen vergeben werden. Ich habe vier SmartTags in maximal 4 Minuten ausgepackt und eingerichtet. Das ist top! 3. Mein Test: Über die „Find“-App von Samsung kann ich mir auf einer Karte den Standort der SmartTags anzeigen lassen. Das funktioniert sehr gut. Ist der SmartTag aufgrund nicht zu großer Entfernung mit meinem eigenen Mobiltelefon verbunden, kann ich recht genau erkennen, in welche Richtung ich laufen muss. Sollte ich ihn nicht sehen können, weil beispielsweise eine Zeitung darüber liegt, kann ich ihn „piepen“ lassen. Das finde ich gut! Geht der SmartTag auf Reisen, ohne dass mein Telefon in der Nähe ist, dann hängt die Genauigkeit der Positionsbestimmung sehr stark von den Umgebungsverhältnissen ab. Das hängt mit der Funktionsweise von Trackern dieser Art ab. Sie können ihren Standort nicht selbst bestimmen und ins Mobilfunknetz senden. Sie benötigen dafür in der Nähe ein beliebiges Mobiltelefon, dass anonyme Bluetoothverbindungen (BLE) zulässt und den Standort übermitteln kann. Tracker wie SmartTags bauen dann unbemerkt eine Verbindung mit einem solchen Mobiltelefon auf und können dann auch den Standort senden lassen. So erklärt sich, dass die Standortfeststellung eines SmartTag nur so genau sein kann, wie der Standort, den ein verbundenes Mobiltelefon für sich selbst ermittelt hat. Das hat auch mein Praxistest in meinem Büro gezeigt. Das befindet sich in einem Hochhaus. Viel Beton und Stahl. Sind die Empfangsbedingungen gut, dann ist die Standortbestimmung genau. Sind die Empfangsbedingungen für Mobilfunk und GPS bei Mobiltelefonen schlecht, dann stimmen auch die Positionsangaben des SmartTag nicht mehr (einmal war er plötzlich 200 Meter von seinem eigentlichen Standort entfernt, mein Mobiltelefon zeigte meinen Standort genauso ungenau in ca. 200 Meter Entfernung an). Die App speichert übrigens den Standortverlauf der SmartTags der letzten Woche. 4. Was ich nicht gut finde: Es sind keine Aufkleber beigefügt. Verwendet man wie ich mehrere SmartTags von Samsung, dann lassen sich diese zwar in der App durch verschiedene Namen unterscheiden. Ich kann aber die SmartTags selbst nicht entsprechend kennzeichnen. Sie sehen alle gleich aus. Ich daher improvisiert und vorhandene Aufkleber passend geschnitten, um die Tracker zu kennzeichnen. Hier könnte Samsung durchaus etwas beilegen. Bei anderen Herstellern habe ich sowas gesehen. Es ist keine Anleitung beigefügt. Nach dem Auspacken war ich im ersten Moment ratlos. Also habe ich einfach mal die Schutzfolie aus der Batterie entfernt, um zu schauen, ob etwas passiert. Und dann war ich positiv überrascht, weil die SmartThings-App von Samsung sofort den Tracker erkannte und den weiteren Einrichtungsprozess steuerte und erklärte. 5. Was sollte man noch wissen: Die SmartTags sind batteriebetrieben. Eine handelsübliche flache Rundzelle, wie man sie aus Funk-Autoschlüsseln kennt, sorgt für den Strom. Der Wechsel ist einfach. Die Laufzeit gibt Samsung mit über einem Jahr an. Das ist ok. 6. Fazit: Ich bin zufrieden mit den Trackern von Samsung. Sie erfüllen ihren Zweck. Ich betrachte sie als weiteres Hilfsmittel bzw. Gimmick, um verlegte Sachen wiederfinden zu können. Für ein unter allen Bedingungen verlässliches und genaues Tracking sind sie dagegen nicht gemacht. Aber das ist für mich ok!
