If it had better battery life, then it would be fine. I only got this because it was cheap and a known brand. Brightness is fine on both high and low, it has a strobe. The second purchase was because, after a move, I misplaced these terrific flashlights. Once I realized I couldn't find these flashlights, I came back to Amazon only to discover no one was selling them. I have zero idea why Duracell would stop manufacturing these flashlights, since everyone needs one, and these are magnificent examples of what makes a flashlight a flashlight. While I was without a good basic flashlight, I tried several different ones on Amazon. Some were rechargeable, and others had 10,000 lumens, but none came close to these designed and created by Duracell. I highly recommend these flashlights and their batteries, and I'm giving them a five-star review. I can only hope Duracell begins manufacturing them again or licenses these to another company. Finally, I found one battery (in the second order) with corrosion on the negative terminal, and it was dead.
