I picked up this book with the intention of learning how options work and am walking away with a solid and easy to replicate blueprint showing how to grow and protect my retirement fund. Travis' book is easy to read, the concepts are simple to understand, and repeated throughout the book in similar contexts to assist in absorbing the mechanics and methodology of the EBH method. I finished this book in two days of on-and-off reading, finding that I thought a lot about his method in-between the time I spent with the book. Travis is an excellent communicator, and I will definitely follow up with his other publication "Options Trading Made Simple" to dive deeper into the methodologies of options trading and how they may benefit me in conjunction with Travis' EBH process to further build my retirement fund, and more importantly, freedom in the form of time.

First off this is not a get rich quick strategy! What Travis outlines requires careful study, a lot of patience, and discipline. I got the kindle version. All material is clear and legible. I first came across Travis' tutorials via marketclub. It was my first foray into options trading. The course and videos were elaborate. I had to do a lot more homework to understand option fundamentals to correlate strategies taught. I made money and lost some overall I did come out on top. Nothing big. The work involved constantly monitoring trend signals, which was too much work for me. This year I came across both of Travis books which are streamlined versions of the original course. Once digested, this blueprint is a lot easier to follow and takes less time to manage. You have to read the whole book patiently; the strategy's blueprint and examples are in the last few chapters. Travis's writing style is verbose like he is talking to you. It's a hard format for me to follow as my brain wants to jump forward. I find myself rereading sections often. There are some absolute gems and lightbulb moments that would be better if highlighted. I would have preferred examples in "Setting up a new portfolio" to relate to current prices. Chapter 10, it almost seems like a year was skipped. I was expecting to see Jan 2011. I had to re-read to understand it was due to the late start in 2010 and the basic hold period is a year. Because the strategy outlined takes a long time, it requires a lot of patience and discipline. I'm starting with a small account portfolio and I'm hopeful this will work out for me in the long run.

The book explains the terms and processes clearly and is written in a way that the average person can easily understand.

Im an options nerd as Travis says in his book- generating a 90% return and I moved all my money into this books strategy EBH. No more stress or worry, I have so much time back, no more single stock research needed - only for fun now! This is the study I have been looking for. I've read, studied, and traded so many nuances of interaction with the Market; but this presentation corrals and distills so many varying complications and possibilities into one simple method of approach that is succinct, understandable, and doable. This is potentially life-changing material, for which I am truly grateful. This has the potential to set me free from slaving over portfolios so that I can reclaim my time and enjoy life, and it's easy enough that I can teach its principles to my wife so that she might retain self-sufficiency should need arise. I've read a number of books on options: what they are, how to trade them, etc., but I usually ended up getting lost, then disgusted, then throwing the book across the room. (Well, virtually, since I usually have them on my Kindle!) This book was really the first one where I read it straight through without feeling lost. In fact, I left with a pretty good understanding of options. If you're looking for a book that has thorough explanations, a "guided tour" of the central strategy, and refrains from throwing jargon at you with little definition, this is the text for you. I can't speak to the success of the strategy because it's long-term, but on paper, it seems very logical, and quite doable, even for beginners. I like it because it's minimal in time requirements, and also low-stress. I'm getting funds together to give it a go. In part because, as I said, it seems logical to me. But also in part because Travis is very inspirational! I enjoy his writing style and his frank way of relating his personal journey, as well as the story of the couple who started with a modest portfolio, building it into a nice little nest egg. One other thing I definitely want to mention is that Travis is very generous with his time. I watched some of the videos he has posted, and even emailed him for some clarification. He responded the next day! That, to me, is someone who is not just trying to sell a book, but someone who stands behind his work and is looking to help others by sharing what has worked for him. I would recommend this book (and Travis!) to anyone who wants a better understanding of options (especially when used as "insurance"), and who is willing to take on a little bit of (managed) risk for the possibility of future financial security. I've followed Travis for some time and he has always been good about providing his strategies clearly. I have enjoyed the pivot to the 10-minute trading strategy rather than focusing solely on Active strategies. I believe if more people followed simple blueprints from educators such as Travis we wouldn't have the retirement crisis we do. I follow a very similar blueprint to this one in my portfolio and have been very happy with the results.
