Are the AMD chips still hot? This is the value for your money?
This CPU (APU) is cheap, but do you really buy this only because of the price? You do not have to, this is not only a good value, but this is really good product, I read the AMD really should charge more and that is true :) This is a steal. Yeah, it is only 4 threads, but now the price of the 2400g is closer, than it was, so you can consider that. I could say look around at the intel side, but they simply do not offer similar product. I had a much slower CPU before, so it is really fast for me, but the really interested part is the GPU and the video decoder engine. It plays every video without CPU load, nice and easy, 4k@60Hz smooth, no errors on the screen. I used to the problems with the 4th intel graphics, but with the 2200g? No issue, + I can choose several resolution and refresh rate on my tv, not like on the intel chip, or even an rx 460 what I used for a short period. I am very impressed. The 3d performance and the computing performance of the GPU is amazing, it is really a beast. I tested the computing power of this vega : it is 60 times faster than a CPU. Not a lot application can use this power (that is why the AMD APU strategy did not work) but the power is there, a huge power. It plays AAA games on low settings, low resolution, but it plays plenty of popular games high res/high setting. I play as well, it is a smooth experience, there was always a big compromise using integrated graphics for gaming, this is not the case now. You are not limited 20-30-40 fps, you can really buy this for gaming (depend on the title). I had an AMD APU chip with a powerful GPU in its age, but the CPU part was limiting the GPU power, this is the past. I had AMD chip, what performed below average, but running hot. this is the past, this thing is cold, even the CPU fan stops when it is idle. I told same nice thing, but the reason you really go for an AM4 platform is the the promise they going to support until 2020, and the CPUand GPU process is still the ( 4 years) old 16/14/12nm, not really future proof, but next year the new 7 nm technology is coming and staying for a while, so you can take a big step forward without changing your platform. Same issue to tell: you are limited to use windows 10 or a new linux, because of the video drivers. Not only a windows 10, but you have to wait for the update and after install and than install the drivers.

Best value Processor on the DDR4 Platform
What a great CPU! and add in the onboard GPU and this is one of the gems of the Ryzen line up. This APU or whatever you want to call it will overclock on most motherboards to around 4ghz and the built in Vega 8 GPU will normally overclock to 1300mhz without much fuss. Combine this with fast ddr4 memory and the "fabric" will make this already fast APU even more snappy. Even at stock speeds this will happily power Windows through daily tasks without breaking a sweat. 1080p or FHD Gaming is also possible even without a separate graphics card (depending on game and settings etc) But that is the beauty of this APU, buy it now and start using your computer, and when graphics cards come down to sensible prices you can upgrade if you feel the need to. I have run this as is, and also with a gtx970 and found it to handle pretty much anything I have thrown at it. Even managed to play fortnite and stream at the same time, without a separate graphics card. Try doing that with a similar priced Intel CPU! This chip come in at a great price and with AMD's up coming driver releases it will only get better (look up AMD fine wine technology) I fully recommend getting this if you are looking to get into gaming or video editing, you won't regret it.

Excellent budget option!
Excellent APU for a brilliant price. I wanted an AMD4 system to build up over time as a secondary gaming stream PC. I anticipated this working OK but needing a new CPU and GPU as soon as budget allowed. Colour me impressed that for the low price this APU immediately (after installing the correct drivers) performed great out of the box. I've tested it with a number of games and they all run smoothly with decent FPS and settings. I will still get a GPU as that is what the system is intended to do best, but for such a budget chip this is amazing. Highly recommended for those either looking for something cheap that will work straight away, or, like me, something to add to over time. The CPU performs really well on its own so I won't worry about upgrading that in a hurry - massive money saver!

Good but I had driver issues
Good value for money. It’s definitely a capable cpu and gpu in one. My only issue is I had driver problems and eventually had to uninstall them an use the default windows 10 drivers otherwise I had issues getting games to load/run. Saying that, I’m game the performance is good for casual gaming. I have played cs:go and fortnite without problem and on decent settings.

Great value, great for budget or SFF gaming.
Superb value. The 2200g is great for the money. I upgraded from am A6-9500 which could barely run PUBG at 720, now I can play smoothly at 1080p with low settings. It can play loads of stuff at 1080p, and stays quite cool too. I was expecting it to always be a bit on the warm side, but idle has been as low as 27C and even while gaming the most I've seen is 66C. For a combined CPU and GPU with stock cooler this is great! I've bumped the GPU to 1500 no problems. I'm running on a pico PSU in am ITX case to keep it small. I could just fit I'm am MATX motherboard by removing the built in PSU that came with the case. The Wraith Stealth isn't as quiet as I'd hoped, there's a slight mechanical buzz from it, but no air noise. The A6 cooler was almost inaudible, even up close, I have wondered about swapping them. The only down side is how much RAM is now, as you need fast stuff for this to run well. Oh, one annoying bug ice just remembered. There's some kind of throttling issue that can come up in games that makes it slow rightdown for a second, any sort of manual CPU clock adjustment fixes it, so I just set mine 25MHz higher and it's fine.

Great CPU for a budget oriented consumer!
Love this CPU.Absolute bargain especially with the launch of the latest Ryzen APUs.Performs spectacularly for the price however I would recommend upgrading in the near future. This is for 2 reasons. -I noticed this CPU is completely bottlenecking my GPU which is the rx 570 8gb in some games like fallout 4 on ultra 1080p.In some instances my GPU could be sitting under 40% utilisation while my CPU is at 100% -Secondly Games are starting to make use of more cores.I'm pretty sure that 4 core CPUs will be quite outdated in the near future,as 2 core CPUs are now. Please dont take this as a negative review of the ryzen 3 2200g.I absolutely recommend this CPU for anyone looking to spend under 100 pounds, euros or dollars on their CPU,But just be aware of its few shortcomings

Windows7
Decent CPU for the price, but does not support Windows 7. Yes it's outdated, yes I'd be using XP if I could, but I don't like hardware dictating my software outside of gaming.

Excellent CPU for my living room HTPC
Excellent CPU for my living room HTPC. Runs my 4k TV at 4k 60Hz no problem, with HDR and 10-bit colour. I am using an Asus Prime B350M-A motherboard. In case you didn't know, the vast majority of motherboards which advertise as having a HDMI 1.4 output actually work fine as HDMI 2.0 outputs, as the functionality is actually in the CPU. This CPU is just awesome, a massive step up from my previous HTPC which used a Haswell dual core Pentium. As for gaming, well I have had a quick go and it's fine for casual (max 1080p!) gaming, but that's not why I bought it.

The best bang for the buck on the market today.
It's astounding how far CPUs have come in the last couple of years. And this little APU from AMD is inanimate silicon proof. Yes, it's ONLY 4-core, 4-thread. But for the price, it's unmatched. You can actually game on this chip and it's integrated Vega 8 gpu. No, not ultra quality at 4k, but decent enough at 1080p and medium quality. Won't rock the nation, but it WILL be playable. The best part is AMD doesn't jack up the prices just to let you OC your own chip. Installation is super-simple in an AM4 motherboard. Lift the lever, line up the arrow, drop it in, lower the lever. The stock Wraith Stealth cooler has thermal paste pre-applied, and it's a breeze to install. Just pay attention to the little AMD logo overhang when you orient the fan - so it doesn't set over your DIMM slots. It would have covered one of mine if I wasn't paying attention. Unlike stock Intel coolers, these are actually decent!! So while you could still spend extra on a better cooler, you can also save your budget and keep the stock one on there. It's fine unless you're going to do some heavy overclocking. Running PassMark 9, temps maxed at 62 degrees, and my setup scored 4045, or 79th percentile. Unigine Heaven 4 gave me FPS: 29.3, Score: 737 - 1080p high quality. On Cinebench R15, I had 75.21fps and a cpu score of 578. It's really a decent little chip for such a great price. If you're debating between this and the R5 2400G, you REALLY have to ask yourself if the difference is worth the price. The uses where the 2400G is a better deal are pretty slim. It really only has the 8 thread advantage. So if you do a lot that takes advantage of the threads, or a couple of games where it gets a little boost from the 3 extra Vega cores ... yeah, it may be worth it. But not for the price difference, in my opinion. The 2200G is the king of budget CPUs right now ... and unlike some Intel chips, the word "budget" doesn't mean you're making sacrifices. It's as close to no compromise as you can get with integrated graphics - which runs circles against Intel iGPUs. Not against the chip, but a comment at Amazon, but the packager wasn't exactly careful when pulling the part off the shelf for packing. They stuck their hand UNDER the top flap of the box, and almost ripped the whole side out above the CPU. You can see the tear lines in the photo. I was NOT impressed, but there was no damage to the chip itself, so wasn't worth the time/hassle to return and replace. First time I've ever had an issue like that with an Amazon item.

Best Budget processor
For the first time PC builder this is the best budget choice. I am using this for a year now. No complaints. It has got plenty of CPU power for daily tasks and the GPU can handle 900p medium or 1080p low 30fps in modern games pretty fine. I am using a freesync monitor (lg 22mp68vq) of 40-75Hz range. So I can play at 45fps rather than 60fps, save about 25% GPU performance and still enjoy stutterless experience. It seems confusing at first to many people that investing in a 9k monitor for a 8k processor. But think about the smooth stutterfree gameplay even at low fps, also a monitor would easily work for more than 5 years at least and by that time most of us would have already upgraded to a decent gpu. For Raw power I would say go for R5 2600. For budget nothing beats this. Even G4560 and GT1030 combo is expensive than this. You just pop this in and you are set to go. Gaming performance is awesome. I keep my PC at silent fan curve and this rarely touches 70C. The box cooler is more than enough to cool this. Oh and even at max rpm it's so much silent, that I am surprised coz my previous laptop made so much noise when gaming that I had use headphones and that one didn't even touch 65C. After so much research and 6 months wait I finally got my Dream PC and I am very happy with its performance. I am using it with a320 board, no issues (don't see much gain in OC'ing). I would say get a SSD and good PSU to go with this and you will have a killer experience like a top notch machine. Only con I would say is that I don't get the relive tab in radeon settings. Maybe a software glitch.

** ¿¿J U E G O S?? ** Lo he probado en Resident Evil 6, Left 4 Dead 2, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, League of Legends, Infestation: The New Z, PUBG Mobile, Unturned, Minecraft (actualizado 2020...), COD Warzone (30 fps 720p Gráficos bajos), Tekken 7, PUBG Lite, HALO MCC, Battlefield 3, GTA 5, Batman (Todos los juegos), Cuphead...
