Colors stay true
I love the colors of Maycos underglazes. I never have problems with the colors staying true from first painting on bisque ware to after firing.

Bight colors, need to learn to tone them down a bit.
Brilliant colors at 6 cone.

Pottery paint
These arrived intact and met all expectations. Truth be told we purchased Mayco underglazes for their value and quality.

Good colors
I got these to color match a brand of glaze that has been discontinued. They're good replacements and have good pigmentation.

If you’re looking for something to use at cone 10, this isn’t it.
It says that it can be used at cone 10. Technically can be used at cone 10, but I have found that results really vary. My work is mostly porcelain or speckled stoneware and gets fired at cone 10. I found that the reds and black were the only reliable underglazes in the set. Other than that, the colors generally don’t look good. The greens burn out and look gray. The yellow and purple disappear. Blues are dull on porcelain clay or just invisible/burnt out on stoneware. I used a friend’s P****r brand underglazes and had much better results. I would not recommend these- they are very disappointing. 2 stars are only because I can use red and black.

Removed after fired
It worked great at first, then used it in another piece that was painted and then fired… came out great apparently… weeks later I was cleaning with a humid sponge to remove dust before glazing, well, the underglaze was removed when I had it already fired once Don’t know for sure if has to do with the color, I was using Orange UG204 First piece that came out right had darker colors like Jet Black and kings blue and they came out right
