I have an income daycare and have more boys than girls. My boys parents all hunt and so they love having guns to "play hunt" with. They were more than excited when they arrived. Sadly, one gun did not work so I sent it back the next day and two days later another gun arrived. Great customer service! They play both inside and outside and I was afraid the bayonets on the end of guns would break off. None of them have and when I say my boys are rough on things I'm not kidding. They love the machine gun sounds and the way the fake shells roll through the clip. I would say depending on their height that they will be able to use them until maybe 7 or 8 years old. They are perfect for my 2 and 3 year olds but my 6 year olds love playing with them too. If I were a nervous person the rapid fire and voice saying Open Fire would drive me crazy. They have had their guns for two weeks now and although they are shooting them a lot I haven't had to replace the batteries. I think any little boy would be happy to have one of these guns. I forgot to submit this but now I have an update on the guns. We got four and they are used everyday. Since the last of May one gun had it bayonet broken off but only because it was stepped on. The other guns all all intact and and I haven't had to replace any batteries to date. These are their favorite toys and I'm so glad I didn't let the negative reviews keep me from buying them.

My 8-year-old son absolutely LOVES this toy!! It has fun sounds, lights, and even vibration. The folding bayonet is so cool. It's not huge (the dimensions listed in the description are accurate), but it's perfect for a toy for elementary aged kids. GREAT value for the money!

Another reviewer had his hand next to the gun. It really is that small. The sounds are really loud but can easily be lowered with tape like another reviewer suggested. The only pro is that it's fun to use. The lights, sounds and vibration combine to make it fun. Now I know what I missed out on as a kid playing mostly with dolls! Lol I got it for a Halloween costume, guerrilla girl. I guess it'll make my costume look funny with such a small gun which I'm ok with.

My son saved up money to purchase a toy gun. He liked this one a lot. He is 9 years old. The gun is very small (probably fits a 4 year old) and not made well at all. He dropped it when getting out of the car and the front end broke off (see picture). The moving parts are cool, but did not work for a while after playing with it. This is not recommended for purchase.

My 5-year old loved the realistic appearance of this toy gun. We ordered it because it had a folding bayonet. However, the bayonet seems a bit fragile as if it may break off soon. It has very loud firing sounds that my child enjoys. However, when I held it, I noticed that the firing sound is extremely loud for the ears. He will need earplugs for safety. The gun was smaller than I expected but it was the perfect size for a small child. While my child loves it, unfortunately it will have to be returned because it arrived shattered. The actual merchandise box was smashed on one end. The broken pieces fell out of the box when we opened it. No manufacturer sheet was inside the toy gun's box. Also no invoice sheet from Amazon was included in the Amazon shipping box either. We will be asking for a replacement because this was a birthday gift and my 5-year old really wants this toy.

At first I was disappointed because it felt cheap but once I put batteries in it made it heavier and shooting it was awesome!! Lights and sounds were amazing! Definitely worth the money!!!

I struggle to rate this product because this is an item my son chose to buy with his own money. I wouldn’t buy this product as a toy (not great value, smaller than expected and the product broke within 3 hours of receiving it) but my son still loves the toy and plays with it often. I can say that delivery was quick. Which is very important for an inpatient 10 yr old.

I didn’t pay attention to the measurements when I purchased it for my nephew. He absolutely loved it though and it was perfectly to scale for him (6 years old)
