This kit is great fantastic for an easy project to complete with the kids in our homeschool. My kids 6 and 4, and they were able to help along the way. The instructions were simple to follow, the kit has everything you need. Highly recommend, great value, super cute and not too big or small. Sturdy kit that serves the function of encouraging bugs in the garden.

This project was actually very fun to put together for the Mother of our life for Mother’s Day. Very easy to make, with very clear instructions, and had it together in probably less than 15 minutes. With everything provided you won’t need to get anything, but your artistic side out once it comes to painting. Being we put this together as adults, I feel like ages 9+ could easily handle this project without issues. Except maybe the glue. I always question kids around sticky material, specifically the kids that can bind objects together. So my only complaint(s) would be as listed as: Price seems a bit high, because it’s not exactly high end material you’re working with. You can tell everything is bulk buys that were thrown together for a kit (Tools,Screws,Wood) the glue itself saves it tho, you get a large quantity, with enough to hold onto the extra for other projects you might have laying around. The wood, not the greatest but not balsa-wood terrible either. We had a couple pieces that were broken and glued together for repair. (Didn’t effect the build or finish, but the broken parts weren’t structural). But maybe that’s the reason for the repair and not replacing. Either way, it just worth a note. I will just leave it at that. Since we had no other issues or concerns. TL;DR perfect gift Easy project 9+ years old and up (Supervised for glue) Fits perfect, with a couple (non-functional?/ structural broken pieces (just scope out all pieces in the beginning) Bee’s will LOVE IT!

I ordered this for my daughter for a Christmas gift. She was delighted. She was hoping to get more pollinators to her yard and garden. She loved the fun design and was excited to build it and paint it as a family. Who boys were excited to get to help to build it. What a fun family activity. She was very impressed with the quality of the house.

I bought this kit because my granddaughter and I have been learning about the alarming decline in the insect population. It was nice to have something positive to do for the bees and butterflies, and they make great gifts. The kits are complete—you don’t have to buy anything else, it’s all in the box. Materials are sturdy, instructions are clear, and you can complete the entire project in one rainy afternoon. Highly recommend!

We bought all three of our kids the bug hotel and they loved them! Easy to put together for ages 3-7. We now buy them for gifts for other kids!
