Broke my chip key. Chip keys are so expensive so I was thrilled to find this sleeve. I don't have to constantly check my pockets to make sure my key didn't fall out. It was easy to put on. Only downside is that it doesn't fit in my driver's side door but works in the ignition and the passenger door. Just need to trim some excess material on the sleeve so it will fit. Absolutely love this key sleeve!

This item was a such a life-saver when the end of my key broke off so it would not go on my keychain anymore. This leather is thick and a good value for the money, and the button is very strong so I feel my key is protected and will not fall off. It is a good snug fit.

Good product. Good quality. Tried to use it as is, but like other folks noted that can make using the key challenging. You don't have the range to push it into a lock or ignition fully, move it freely, and extract it. I put the key into the case, pushed it towards the buttom/opening ans drilled a small hole just above the key. That did help. But even snuggled up, I still sometimes struggled to turn the key on the ignition. Sounds strange but it's an issue. Would recommend this still. It seems durable. It's soft leather. And it doesn't look too bad. Just be mindful and patient when you use your key in this case and you'll be fine.

I bought this because the plastic piece on my ignition key broke and I could no longer fit it on my key ring. It worked great for about a week. The first thing to come apart was the rivet that holds the sleeve together with the loop that connects to your key ring. As these things do, it came apart without my noticing and I didn't know until I reached for my keys and it was loose in my pocket. If I had been able to find the rivet, I might have been able to put it back together. Since I could not, I had to slip the key ring through the holes in the sleeve where the rivet would have been. The trim on the edge has also come off. Technically, it is still usable as it is. But I can tell that it probably wont last the next few months. I just received a replacement key that I had made using a machine in the grocery store. I still think this was a good idea and with a slightly different design it might last a lot longer. But for something that gets used every day, it isn't going to last very long.

The cheap plastic slot in these hi-dollar car keys breaks and you can no longer put your car key on your key chain. For around 7.00 this item saves you from having to go to the dealership and spend hundreds on a new key just so you can keep your key on your key ring. That's some serious value! I was surprised at how well its made, real leather looks great! And it don't create a big jumbled mess with my other keys in my pocket. Since both my keys were broken, I doubled down and saved hundreds more!! Very pleased with this purchase!! (Pro tip-a little superglue on the threads of the screw should keep it from coming loose and losing your key later on.)

This did not work for my vehicle spare key, despite that it says it's for car keys. I pushed the key down into the cover as far as it would go and then inserted the key with the cover on just to test it out. Once in the ignition, it wouldn't move forward to allow the ignition to turn over. It also would not move back so it could be pulled out. Key was stuck in the ignition with accessories on! Would not move forward or back, nor pull out. I had to get a razor blade to cut the leather cover off as it had rendered the car completely inoperable! Once the cover was off, the key worked fine. Returning this item immediately!
