Works well will minor adjustments, but is worth the price even without.
I will edit this review if the pump fails in less than a year, as a $300 GE with internal pump didn’t even last that long. My $300 GE dehumidifier of 1 year started making weird sounds and the internal pump failed with an error code. Of course there’s no easy way to get in there to see what’s going on since they want you to buy a whole new machine. So instead I went this route to add in an external pump that I can keep an eye on and easily replace for cheap. This little guy is like 10x stronger than the original internal pump. It’s a little louder and I couldn’t find a good spot for the feet to attach to reduce noice but it’s not any louder than the dehumidifier itself. I added in some adjustments to make it work with my GE and just generally work better. I added an Evil Eye check valve, and assembled my own tube adapter to go from the pump 1/2 inch PVC tube to a push to connect tube, since the GE originally used a push to connect tube, and I like that it’s stiff so it can’t be blocked as we run it under a rug. PERSONALLY I WOULD BUY A 1/2 inch CHECK VALVE, water does run back and it’s only like $5. Assemble it so it is inside the tank so any leaks in the future will occur in the tank not on carpet. Oh and for the pump, don’t lift it into the air while it’s pumping. It activates some kind of glitch where it won’t work for a while until you unplug it a dozen times. Unplug it before you remove from water. This will not be an issue during normal use.

Fails After Short-Term Use – Impeller Malfunction Under Load
I’ve purchased two of these pumps, and unfortunately, both stopped working after just a couple of months. I used them in the reservoir of my humidifier to empty the tank. In both cases, the issue appears to stem from the impeller no longer responding to the magnetic force needed to produce rotation. Strangely, the unit seems to function when tested outside of water, but fails under normal operating conditions in water. This suggests a quality issue—specifically, that the pump can’t handle sustained use under load over time.

This is an amazing little sump pump to move built up water out quickly!
I was looking for a solution for to clear a driveway trench drain whose exit pipe has became clogged from tree roots and was frequently filling up as the fall rains began. With about 5" depth and 5" of width underneath the drain, I was able to wire this pump in from metal grate on top. Whenever the water level reaches about 3" the sump fires up and quickly clears out the water through the flexible silicone hose connected to a larger water pipe. It was a novel solution to keep the drain clear that was far less expenses that a $1300 high pressure rotor auger to try to clear the entire line nearly annually.

Took a lot of abuse, worked well, wasn't a huge fan of how it failed.
Good pump, I used it outside as a condensation pump to pump the AC water over to a tree in the front yard. I abused the crap out of it, it pumped nearly nonstop for a year and a month or so, and was pumping some algae filled water before it died. I shaved a star off because, when it *did* fail, it failed in such a way that it was leaking at least 55v (probably actually 120v) into the water. I noticed a little zap shen I was holding it and bumped up against a grounded AC unit. That being said, I've already ordered a new one. I might see if I can seal the top a little better.

Amazingly powerful little pump!
This is exactly what I needed. I wish the tubing was a little longer, but that was easily fixed by purchasing longer tubing. It does a great job!

Very good product
This pump is great, we are using it to keep water level down to certain level. Yes, the hose bleeds back every time it pumps the water out. But it works every time the level gets high. It’s working perfect for what we need.

Don't bother.
No power! This pump won't move water up just a couple of feet. Useless.

Does what it's supposed to do, priced fairly.
Bought this to manage condensation accumulation in a portable air conditioner. Turned out to be exactly what was needed. Works very well.
