5210 8-inch Dressmaking Shears (N5210) Black Handle

Definitely the best scissors I have ever bought. I have a number of cheaper scissors but these work on everything, all the time, I bought a pair of these a number of years ago - they have never rusted, remain as sharp as ever and look as they did the first day. And they are used every day for a lot of purposes from Kitchen to garden. Definitely recommend these above all others.

If I could give more stars I would. These shears have some weight to them but are not heavy for my small and rather weak hands. They cut through fabric like a hot knife through butter and the movement is the smoothest I've ever felt in a pair of shears/scissors. They cut right to the very tip. Beware, they are incredibly sharp - just like a brand new rotary blade, I touched my finger with the blade and cut it!

Very good scissors, even if they are cheapest from Kai selection. Im using Kai scissors for about 6 years and often for very thick fabric and sometimes 4x folded., but not this one. I have 5 different Kai scissors, from very expensive- to cheap like this one and also rotary /round cutter Kai with Kai replacement blades. Compared to other scissors in similar or double price, Kai are the best. I bought few different makes ,quite famous in UK, but not any, even close to Kai quality.. For light user this cheap Kai scissors, will works great, for more professional people, I will advise to invest in much more expensive Kai, which must be used carefully because of sharpness, but they will last long and can be sharpened, after few years . I bought 2 of my best Kai scissors directly from Japan . Highly recommended scissors, just I was a bit surprised because they were packed loose in clear plastic bag only,, without any packaging- even simple cardboard insert usual for any scissors and also other cheaper Kai, which I bought some time ago. More expenive are sold in posh boxes, but cheaper in cardboard style inserts. Im happy with purchase and obviously they are sharp and worth to buy. Definitely best in market for this price.

Wallpapering scissors out there, ok yeah they are dressmaking scissors, but brilliant for papering, very sharp with a needle point. Comfortable in the hand with the soft grip and stay sharp for years This brand is all I have used for 35 years and the first pair I bought are still reasonably sharp, expect at least ten years use
