Hercules Sagemann Detangling Comb, 23 cm Length

I love this comb! I forgot how much nicer it is to use a good quality comb. Doesn’t bend and love the spacing between the teeth. It doesn’t yank out hair while removing knots from curly wet hair.

I love this comb! I like that it’s seemless and doesn’t rip my hair as I comb through. It literally feels like it glides through my hair.

Excellent product, works better then all others!

The Hercules Sagemann 703 is better at on the go detangling. This comb is more for the shower and spreading conditioner and product through your hair. It has a hollow type sound when you're combing your hair. It sounds as if your hair is being ripped even though its not. The quality seems good, although for a comb of this price I expected it to be smoother. The teeth aren't smooth and if you glide your fingernail along the teeth you can hear and feel that its rough. I didn't notice any more or less hair in the comb over my seamed comb however every little bit you can do to retain length helps I guess

I had one of these combs for almost 10 years from a salon I used to go to back home. I loved it! But, I dropped it once and it must have hit just the right way to break off a couple of the pieces. I'm so glad I could find a replacement after so long, it works really well to help comb through my curly hair after I get out of the shower, without getting tangles. Definitely recommend!

Best comb ever!

Well, this comb is seamless, but it’s teeth are textured when you rub your finger between them. I used this comb once I’m afraid to use it again because between the base of the teeth there are sharp protrusions. I have porous hair and feel it’s slicing of my cuticles . I read a review that stated that the hollow sound of the comb going through your hair makes you think it’s breaking your hair but it’s not. Again, my hair is porous so it may be exactly what it sounds like.

Auf der Suche nach einem haarschonenden Kamm für mein welliges, empfindliches Haar bin ich auf die Hercules Sägemann Kämme aus Ebonit gestoßen. Ebonit ist ein Hartgummi bzw. vulkanisierter Naturkautschuk. Dies lässt zunächst vermuten, dass der Kamm aus elastischem hartem Gummi besteht. Dies ist aber nicht der Fall, da Ebonit keinerlei elastische Eigenschaften besitzt. Das Material ist eher mit Kunststoff vergleichbar. Der Kamm wurde vorwiegend manuell bearbeitet (handgesägt, gerundet und handgeschliffen). Der Hersteller verspricht, dass die Kämme gratfrei, also frei von Pressnähten und sonstigen scharfen Kanten sind. Das kann ich bestätigen, mein Kamm ist tatsächlich gratfrei. Dadurch schont er mein Haar und die Kopfhaut. Der Kamm gleitet beim Kämmen wirklich gut durchs Haar und das sowohl im trockenen als auch im nassen Haarzustand. Gut finde ich, dass er wasserfest ist und ihm auch Haarpflegeprodukte nichts anhaben können. So ist der Kamm perfekt, um ihn mit unter die Dusche zu nehmen oder mit ihm Haarkuren gleichmäßig im Haar zu verteilen. Weiterer Vorteil z.B. gegenüber Hornkämmen ist, dass er nicht so leicht zerbrechlich ist. Er kann also auch mal runterfallen, ohne dass gleich etwas abbricht. Der Kamm ist beständig gegenüber Wärme und Chemikalien. Insgesamt macht er einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck und liegt sehr gut in der Hand. Von der Größe her ist er insgesamt 23 cm lang, der Abstand zwischen den einzelnen Kammzinken beträgt (wie bei einem ganz normalen Strähnchenkamm) ungefähr 0,5 bis 0,6 cm. Fazit: Ich würde ihn wiederkaufen.
