OPI Infinite Shine ProStay Primer and Gloss, Base Coat, Top Coat, 0.5 fl oz

I love painting my nails, but I used to be frustrated by how quickly polish would chip with my busy lifestyle. The OPI Infinite Shine ProStay Primer and Gloss Top Coat completely changed that. I use them with a color polish in between, and the results are amazing—the top coat helps the polish dry faster and keeps a brilliant shine that lasts up to two weeks. This set is high quality and truly delivers. I absolutely love it!

I’ve been testing different methods to extend my home manicures. I’ve tried this primer/gloss with a color shine polish and normal OPI polishes but continued to experience chipping around day 4-5. I am currently on day 8 with very minor chipping! The only difference in technique this go around is buffing my nails all over to provide the primer a little more grip. The primer in this set is a different texture than the OPI natural nail base coat I’m used to using and is already a little “sticky” on its own. The top coat uses a UV technology to act as a pseudo-gel. I noticed cracking in a couple areas, but the polish never fully chipped off. Very impressed and interested to see how mich longer this wear will last!

This is my favorite long lasting nail polish system. I used to go to the salon pre-COVID, but I can’t do that anymore. I work with my hands and so regular nail polish (as opposed to gel) comes off very quickly. But using this system my nail polish can definitely last about two weeks. And taking off the polish is very easy, just regular remover works. But it does take a little more remover than regular polish. The only downside is the whole system is more expensive than regular nail polish.

My nail polish never lasts more than 2 to 3 days, but with this bottom coat and topcoat on top of my regular polish, it lasts already five days more than normal. I suspect it’s gonna last two weeks! Or longer maybe? I’m super excited to have found this product and plan on using it every time I paint my nails! 1 week update- still looks great! I’m thrilled w this product! I will use it forever more.

For those buying this product, be very clear that it is 2 parts of a 3 part system. Part1 is the base coat. Part2 is the polish (color) sold separately. Part3 is the top coat. The three part system is exclusive to OPI brand products, specifically the infinite shine series. I mention this because if you try to use it with Essie polish your polish will not dry, even with super thin coats, and waiting 4 days. It will look dry and feel dry, but it can be easy dinged (not chipped). I have also tried it with other OPI regular polishes. When used with OPI products, but not the infinite shine line it will dry, but you can peel the entire polish off a nail within an hour. (It looks like those sticker nails that have to be uv cured.) The PROS are huge though. When you buy the three part OPI set, magic happens. I’ve been able to get 21 days…3 weeks!!!… out of my nails. And if it wasn’t for outgrowth, I could have gone longer! (I use the base coat, 2 thin coats of Pretty Pink Preserves or Baby Take a Vow, then a top coat for a beautiful nude nail.) The bottom line is this is fantastic if you want to stick to OPI’s infinite shine line. If you like to mix product lines (as I do), you will need a second base/top coat brand for brands outside of OPI infinite shine series. Thus, 4 stars instead of 5. I hate having to have a different brand for base/top coat just because this particular one is specific to their 3 part process. But I do love the long wear when the 3 part series is used together. Since none of the reviews or any of the information discuss that this 2 piece set works almost exclusively with the OPI Infinite Shine line, I wanted to point that out!

I don’t write reviews. I’m cynical and hate the bot reviews and paid reviews and all that. But holy crap. A coworker recently introduced me to OPI infinite shine. This survives me scrubbing into clean rooms multiple times a day, cooking, cleaning, gardening—for two weeks at a time. And if you’re like me you’ve tried long lasting polishes before that take radioactive slime to remove and leave your nails looking like it. Not this stuff. Comes off like a dream. Dries fast. Gorgeous colors. Only complaint is that it’s so damn expensive for some step 2s.

Even though the top coat bottle looked like it had spilled out into the lid,.... I think there's enough left to see if it's better than other top coats I've tried. I used the base coat, 2 coats of color, then 1 top coat. My Manicure has been perfect for 10 days. I wear gloves to wash dishes. Otherwise, I haven't made any concessions to my nails. That's pretty impressive. Removing polish is a little more labor intensive. But that just impressed me more.

If you follow directions, (1) Infinite Shine Primer. Shake it thoroughly, then apply one coat onto cleansed nails to increase polish adhesion and prevent staining natural nail. (2) I use whatever brands of polish that I have and have not had any issues. (3) Complete your manicure with Infinite Shine Gloss Top Coat. After a thorough shake, apply one or two even coat(s) to add glossy gel-like shine. People! Take a minute or two to read the "Features & Details" and "Suggested Use". A lot of your questions are answered for you, if you read through the "Descriptions" and "Reviews". My recommendation is to dry in between coats and use a quick dry polish after the top coat. BTW: I have acrylic nails. And also remember if these guidelines do not work for you, adjust to your specifications because every nails/nail beds/acrylic/natural are different. Sometimes I will use the Primer and a different top coat which means that I might not get the same result. But you may have a different outcome. If it peels, try one thin coat of the top coat. If received the Primer or Top Coat sticky or you're not satisfied, reach out to Amazon, the Seller or Manufacturer and they are open to fixing the issues or concerns. I like the OPI set that I will order again.

It’s like adding a life insurance policy to your manicure. My go to manicure involves this primer, two coats of bubblebath pink infinite shine, followed by the gloss top coat. My mani stays reliably fresh-looking for a week or two depending on how busy I am with my hands. The trick is to apply thin coats and lightly cap your nail tips to ensure longevity of your polish. This OPI duo is a mainstay in my manicure regimen, I love it.

Si queréis unas uñas que parecen de esmalte semipermanente no lo dudéis. Cualquier esmalte queda bien, y si también es de OPI espectacular... Me han encantado. El único inconveniente es que hay que comprar 2 unidades, pero vistos los resultados, vaya si lo gastaré!
