This system was designed to increase worker efficiency, eliminating the need to get off the scaffold to move it. Equipped with a powerful electric motor, it is propelled by the energy of an 18 or 20 volts battery from one of the six largest brands in the industry. Its wheels are installed on the bottom of the scaffolding and the joystick control on the guardrail or directly on a rung. You will be able to move around your work site at height in a safe way. In addition, it is compatible with all METALTECH baker types scaffolding. Lighter and more compact than a scissor lift. Does not need a freight elevator to be moved around the job site. Review: Timesaver - Drop ceiling contractor here. Pros: 1. Powerful enough to move me and two cases worth of ceiling tile around with ease (I’m a big dude). 2. Saves me from getting up and down to move my Baker. 3. Touch sensitivity of joystick is high-quality and helps prevent jerking unit and hitting things. 4. Has helped me increase productivity measurably. Cons: 1. Increases the minimum height of the platform (side rails don’t flip so I’m looking for some that do #IYKYK) since the unit takes up the first four holes of the end rail. Low ceilings are a no go, but anything 9’+ is 👍. 2. Cannot make tight, turns. Though the drive end turns on a dime, the tail end has to turn like the second hand on a clock. Moving room to room down a corridor is cumbersome. Not useful in all applications. This unit was worth every penny. It will pay for itself quickly, even though it’s not useful in all applications. I haven’t had it long, so we’ll see how it lasts, but it should still pay for itself many times before it konks out. I’m impressed. Review: The best investment for work - The attachment is easy to use and it makes a simple baker scaffolding operate and maneuver smoothly at variable speeds. There’s various types of adapters to accommodate the tool battery of your choice. I wish I had it years ago.
