My wife was decidedly unhappy about it. She is from China, and it turns out that in China the only time a man wears a green hat is to announce to the world that his wife is cheating on him. Well, I'm British and we are in UK so I have been wearing my hat out - and none of the neighbours have concluded that I am announcing any kind of emotional trauma to the world.My wife still isn't so happy and so she has taken to letting my 1-year old son play with my hat in the hopes that it will be 'accidentally' wrecked. Well my son now loves hats and it's pretty much the only word he knows at the moment - telling everyone "hat" and pointing at his head. My head measures 58cm -a size that is notionally unavailable. I bought a size medium (57cm) hat and, at first, the fit is a little tight as you would expect. But wear the hat in the house for a few hours and as the felt softens a little the hat starts to fit perfectly. The quality is simply superb and the look is exactly what I wanted.
