That is good for the life of the switch and never needs to be renewed. However 9k series switches also require a DNA Advantage license to go with it. The first time you boot the switch it starts a 90 day timer. You have that long to get it to login to Smart licensing and confirm your license ownership. Currently on the market a 3 year DNA advantage license for this switch I have found for about $1700 additional. You can let the license expire in 3 years if you don't need the features and then you'll only be using the Network Advantage license features that never go away nor do you have to renew.
