A couple of days after the tech completed my heat pump annual maintenance visit this year, I happened to notice while gardening that the insulation around the copper piping outside had been torn away (squirrels?) & had gaps. This pipe wrap was a quick fix, easy to apply & the unit is working well.

Added this to my home’s exterior pipes to try and prevent freezing! A few weeks later and they are holding up well over winter this year. Did what I needed and easy to apply, very sticky.

A needed item to keep freeze off water hose bibs

Had to run a drain pipe out of my cabin to a gray water tank. Up in my area, the frost line is 6ft down. So I bought one of those pipe heaters and used this foam to wrap it up to hold the heat in. Seemed like great quality foam and it's really sticky too. I assume it's going to work great, but only time will tell. Until then, it gets a 5 star review.

This tape adheres poorly. My wrapped pipes look ugly. The product does not seem designed for outdoor. I used aluminum tape over wrapped pipes to keep the product in place and make it "look better". I'd rather use another product.

Usually, when I wrap my pipes, I get Frost King from Home Depot or Lowe's. This year, I could not find them in the store and would need to order them online. That was a nope for me, so I ordered this from Amazon. The plastic that covers the sticky portion of this tape is horrible to get off. I really struggled with this. The sticky part of this tape works; there were a few places on my copper piping that this did not stick well to, but that was probably from me either touching the tape while installing it or from an impurity on the pipes. However, this has never happened when I used Frost King tape in the past. I will not use this product in the future. Frost King comes with half as much tape, but it's a lot easier to use. The one plus for this tape is that it has a silver coating, which will last better in my area because of the intense sun. Also, this tape is really difficult to tear, so bring scissors. This may be a good thing, as it indicates the silver outer section is strong; however, it does make it annoying to install.

I used this to wrap part of my heat pump refrigerant lines. It sticks to itself well enough when wrapped with overlaps.
