For a beginner gamer this us difficultly level 7 of 10. For gaming pro, difficulty level 4 out of 10 You have 4 bees, rectangle bodies with numbers on each side. You start as junior bees #1, helping to build a colony, you go and hunt for pollen and fiber, travel in space, do dances... as you level up the bees to #4 you have access to more impressive stuff. The bees get tired, need rest and either go back to junior bees #1, or other options. So building the bees experience, building the colony size, and gathering resources. Length of game once familiar 1hr to 1.5hrs Rule book very good, easier than it looks Good quality and pretty layout Great value for money Good chunky pieces, cardboard tiles, playboards I think it's fun to play but I have about 80 boardgames. Need good gaming table for size. You have main board, each player has a board and the player boards grow but not much. Then each play also has a small bee tracking board for their leveling up and hibernation.

If you are looking to add a fun and replayable worker placement game to your game library, this is a great choice! It has a lot of different strategies to choose from and forces you to constantly problem solve the efficiency of your choices and adapt to your opponents. The many factions and random elements make the game very replayable. I don't think it's for everyone, so read/watch reviews if you're unsure. The turns near the end of the game can get a little tedious if you are playing with turn perfectionists. I didn't really get the feeling of a bee hive since you just have the 4 worker bees, but that's fine. I think the bee art looks awesome. Worker bumping is fun and increases the interaction between players.

This a good solid game. Get the expansion to make even better. My wife and I have played several times and its okay. Buy it you want be disappointed.

We got this game about 2 months ago and have been loving it. It is made by the same people who made wingspan. It has lots of parts and functions you can do each turn like wing span, but I would saw it is easier to learn. It is a great 2 player game --that is how we play it most of the time, but we have also had fun playing with 5 players. 2 player games go faster--45min and 5 player games are about 1.5 hours for us. The fun thing is that after playing it more then 10 times I still feel like there are strategies I still have to discover and learn.

Terrific euro worker-placement game with solid art, production values and a unique theme. 8/10.

Stonemaier excells in engine-building games, and this is no exception. Lots of tension as each ployer tries to decide whether to retire their bees quickly to end the game faster or keep recycing them to build up their hive. Fresh concepts. Bees ruling the world - how can that be bad?

I played it from my friend's copy twice and that's when I knew I had to buy this. The item has good components and the gameplay itself is good. It's like wingspan in a different way.
