I love Anna Maxted’s adult books and cannot understand why they weren’t more popular when they were first published or higher rated on Amazon. I’m struggling to find new books to read at the moment- something that I can pick up after a busy working day that isn’t twaddle.Her books are just what I want to read

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to read

Didn't immediately enjoy this book but then found I really cared about the characters. There are surprising depths in the book - it covers date rape for a start - but they are largely hidden in froth. Provides plenty to think about; I'd read other books by the same author.

The first Anna Maxted book I read was 'A Tale of Two Sisters', which I enjoyed very much. This was a disappointment after that, although to be fair 'Behaving Like Adults' was her first novel.This is definitely NOT 'side-splittingly comical' as Cosmopolitan claims in it's review ...... in fact I didn't laugh once. It's a good enough read though; I certainly didn't feel like giving up part way through.
