This little tool is perfect. It solves a very common issue (especially for we aging boomers with pools) and it does so very well. It just plain works and seems to me to be very sturdy construction although time will tell on that. I wish all of life's problems had such easy answers.

Very pleased , I have had knee replacement so kneeling on concrete to remove lid and basket removal sucked. This thing is great and worth every penny. I am Going to order another and put up in garage storage when this one fails years from now

This is a very cool till to have for lazy children or for those that may have difficulties bending over to clean their skimmer. The skimmer lid removal part is very easy to use and works surprisingly well, but the manufacturer has a design flaw with the skimmer basket puller. The poker slides up the pole if it contacts leaves or other debris when the basket is full. This won't be much of a problem during most of the year, but if the user lives in an area where a significant amount of leaves fall into the pool in the fall, the hook will be useless unless the user knows how to modify or secure the hook.

Arrived quickly and was what I ordered, HOWEVER, it would not work on my skimmer cover, the hole was too big. I contacted the seller who is also the inventor. I provided information on my cover and he went out to purchase one for himself in order to find a solution. He called me often to update me and when he found a solution he sent it to me at no charge. Works great. Very impressed with the customer service and the desire to find solutions to this challenge. Understandable that it doesn’t work on every skimmer cover out there as a new product on the market but they now fit my type as well.

The circumference of the pole is just a smidge too big to fit into the hole in my skimmer cover, so I still have to stoop down to lift it off. The prongs that lift the basket work fine, but getting them into position and turning the basket just right the release it takes some precision and practice. Once I got that motion down, the tool did what it’s supposed to do. (Not sure why “suction power” is a star ⭐️ category, I went for the middle so as not to skew my rating too high or too low.)

Over the years it has been getting harder to get down on my hands and knees to remove the skimmer basket. this tool is perfect. super easy to use and works like a charm. whoever invented this is a genius!!!!

Updated 04MAY2022 , purchased in 2022. Downgraded from 4 to 2 stars. I get mad every time I use this filter cover grabber. The metal "wire piece" had too narrow a gap to grab the cross piece of my inground filter basket. I have had to attempt to bend it to be wider. Using two crescent wrenches, I have barely been able to bend them wider to grab the cross piece, and to bend the tips inward because they are almost as wide as the basket. That wire piece is way too thick and could hold a mountain climber, but are intended to grab only a two pound filter basket (with debris). The wire should be half as thick, and two inches narrower. Not sure why it is designed to hold 200 pounds and be the exact width of a filter basket, making retrieval of said basket as complicated to align as a Space X ship docking with the ISS. Original from 2022. Easy to use, no stooping over, and the wife does not mind checking the basket. She was always worried about having to reach in and possibly finding snakes and frogs.

This product works ok when the skimmer basket is light, however in the fall when it’s full of leaves it’s useless. The hook at the bottom isn’t secured so when you push through the leaves it comes up so you can’t hook the slimmer basket. I secured it down with screws, but then the retractable lid feature doesn’t work. Too expensive for such a flimsy item. Get some pvc and make one yourself
