I have not had to recharge it yet and I play once per week on average, in fact it still says full battery. My buddy has a bushnell and he has had to charge his a few times. The bushnells have batteries where the red tiger you just have to charge up when it gets low which is has not done yet. Works the same as the expensive brands so why pay $300 more? It does adjust for slope too. If you are in the market buy this red tiger. The only drawback is that is not made in the USA.
