I haven't had this in years, but got a craving recently. I haven't had any jerky since I got full dentures, but remembered that this is the only kind I like that is anywhere close to tender enough for me to try. I can't buy it anywhere near me, so was happy to find it on Amazon! I ordered a 14oz bag. It came super fast! It's perfect! It's moist and tender, like I remember. I can chew it with my (ill fitting, temporary) dentures! I can't imagine why I've seen reviews complaining about the texture. The texture is amazing to me! I guess if you want your jerky to be hard and super dry, this isn't for you. But if you want something tender and super flavorful, buy this!!! The original is the only I've ever had, and is the best tasting jerky I've ever eaten, period. It's a little sweet, but also peppery, and it works together to make something beautiful. If you've ever eaten maple pepper bacon, this is very similar in flavor! I'm going to keep buying this here. I recommend it as highly as I possibly could! Something I'm surprised I didn't see advertised much more is that this product is gluten free! This is extremely important to me. I don't personally need gluten free foods, but my oldest son is a type 1 diabetic who also has Celiac disease. So he can't eat ANY gluten, nor can he eat high carbohydrates or high sugar foods. It's very hard to find acceptable snacks for him, especially with the costs of most gluten free items being sooo high. I was so pleased when I saw that these are gluten free and that I can share with him!!! Most have soy sauce, which isn't g.free typically, but perky jerky uses gluten-free soy sauce in their jerky! Amazing!

Love this turkey jerky!!! Low sodium tastes great keeps me filled up and helps me meet macros with out all the extra unnecessary stuff

I've been a fan of perky jerky for a long time. This is the best jerky when it's fresh, which the original, teriyaki, and other common flavors almost always are. This brand is the tenderest and most flavorful jerky that I've tried. Unfortunately, once I buy a product on Amazon or put it in my Lists they raise the price. $12.99 + $2 off coupons for 1st purchase and now it's $18.69 for same product. This has been happening consistently with many of my purchases and/or items I add to my list. For example, I added Valvoline 5w-30 Full synthetic 5qt motor oil to my list on 3/22/2020 for $21.74. The next day it was $29.99. All other Valvoline products of different viscosity or max-life, etc. was still $21.74. This also happened to ostrich lounge chairs I added on 3/26/2020 for $35.99 & $38.99 respectively. When I checked back on 3/28/2020 the chair (colors) I picked blue and pink had each increased $3 & $4 respectively. This is unfortunate that Amazon is now taking advantage of customers, who may not notice the change, likely due to some sort of algorithm to increase profits at expense of trusting customers . It's very disappointing and this seems to be new business practices. Very disgraceful!!

I ABSOLUTELY love perky jerky they are the ONLY brand of turkey jerky I will eat!! The tender pieces are just divine in taste and texture!! I would absolutely give you 5 stars IF!! it didn’t seem like every other bag I order I get one two MAYBE 4 actual pieces! The rest is chopped up crumb! I love the crumbs but I can’t eat the whole pieces of peppercorn so I have to be careful! And it does really suck when it seems every other purchase the bag has either been a not as fresh or the bag is nothing but crumbs! Like I said I wouldn’t mind it so much if I didn’t have to worry about the peppercorns or you offered like the end of the bag crumbs as their own and sorted actual pieces of jerky to jerky crumbs or smaller pieces! I got my order the other day and I knew it was gonna be a crumb bag as per the pattern! So as much as it pained me to do I ordered Kirkland brand turkey jerky! Let’s see if it can compare!! I’d also like to add that there is literally one store that I know of that sells perky! Otherwise I have to buy it off here!! There has to be a better way!!!!

Simple ingredients. Tastes great. Easy for emergency food

My first bag was truly excellent. Great quality turkey jerky and balanced flavor/moisture. However, the second bag I purchased was very overly moist, sticky, and sugary to the point that it wasn’t really enjoyable. A bummer, because I really enjoyed the first one. At $20 each I probably won’t roll the dice again. Edit: They have dropped the price on this and I have ordered a few more bags. I think I've had 6 now. The jerky is usually good but still very inconstant between bags. Some bags have huge perfectly dried pieces, and others have tiny overly wet pieces. You roll the dice every time. When it's good it's good. When it's bad, its just OK.
